SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - After serving in the Korean War 67 Years ago, a San Diego veteran is preparing for the trip of a lifetime with Honor Flight San Diego. Chuck Willey says he's looking forward to experiencing the Washington, D.C. memorials with other veterans. "He mentioned about being accepted to the Honor Flight. But said the only problem is I don't have a uniform, and I said oh Chuck, I can help you with that!" said Patricia McKeon Suter, a relative of Willey. She put a call out for help on one of her Facebook groups - Buy Nothing Navajo, San Diego, CA - asking if anyone had a Korean War-era dress. Three days later, a neighbor answered her call."The reason why she really wanted to do it is her grandfather served in the Korean War in the Marines, and she didn't get to honor him, he passed away a while ago, and this was her way of honoring him. It brought tears to my eyes, which it's doing right now," said McKeon Suter. The neighbor found a uniform in Willey's size, pants, and a jacket.Willey's daughter continued the quest on eBay, where someone ultimately donated a hat and tie after learning Willey's story."Overwhelmed, just very, very thankful for all the help," said Mckeon Suter.Willey was also overwhelmed by the generosity of strangers. "I can't believe that people would do that," said Willey.Willey says he is proud of his service and grateful he'll once again be able to wear a uniform for this special occasion. Honor Flight San Diego will return on Sunday, October 6 to the San Diego International Airport; the public is invited to welcome them home:Where: Terminal 2When: Arrive by 3:20 p.m. (one hour ahead of flight)Carpooling is recommended 1681

Ballast Point’s best-in-class brewing standards will remain unchanged, delivering the same high-quality, award-winning products the company has become known for over the years."RELATED: Museum of Beer planned to open in San Diego's East VillageThe sale is expected to close by the end of the 2020 fiscal year.Craft beer fans will remember when Constellation Brands shelled out about billion to buy Ballast Point in 2015, a move intended to position the company well in the quickly-growing craft beer market.Since the purchase, Constellation Brands CEO Bill Newlands says the craft beer market has "shifted dramatically."“Trends in the U.S. craft beer segment have shifted dramatically since our acquisition of Ballast Point,” said Newlands. “Ballast Point remains one of the most iconic craft beer brands in the country and we’re pleased to transition the business to an owner that can devote the resources needed to fuel its future success.”Newlands added that the sale allows Constellation to focus on its other brands and upcoming products, pointing specifically to a Corona-branded hard seltzer. 2205

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A senior "hero" leapt into action when she saw a man snatching a neighbor's package in the La Jolla area.On a quiet afternoon last week, Gillian Ackland was in her living room when she saw an unfamiliar white car park right in her cul-de-sac off Colima Street in Bird Rock."It felt kind of strange," said Ackland.Next door was a big package sitting outside her neighbor's door.MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhood"The car suddenly starts backing up diagonally. I realize he's going for the package, and I run out the front door, saw him with the package and ran to his side of the car," said Ackland. Her neighbor's Ring camera captured it all. In the video, a man is seen walking up to the door, grabbing the big package and a smaller one. As he starts running to his car, so does Ackland, who yells, "That's not yours!" three times. He shoves the package in the back seat, but the door didn't fully close."There was adrenaline going," said Ackland.Ackland sensed her chance."I knew I had a few seconds and I could do something - and I did it," said Ackland. She opened the back door and tried to pull the package out. The package starts to fall out, but not far enough, as the car drives off. Ackland has no regrets."The injustice of all kept me going. I just felt it's not right, and I just thought I could get the package away from him," said Ackland.Another neighbor took a photo of the car showing an Uber sticker on the front windshield. Inside the package was a side table. She says the neighbor missing the package thanked her profusely. He told 10News she is a "superhero neighbor.""It's actually a little embarrassing," said Ackland. The video was shared on the "Neighbors by Ring" app."It's important that neighbors look out for each other. Some might call me crazy, but I think I'm adventurous. I've led an adventurous life and that's who I am," said Ackland.A police report was filed. 10News reached out to Uber and sent them the images of the driver and car, but have yet to hear back. 2049
