(KGTV) — Authorities have identified the South Bay woman killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on Interstate 5 in Irvine this week.Maria Osuna, 25, of National City, was killed in the collision involving at least nine vehicles at about 1:25 a.m. on I-5 near Irvine Spectrum Center.Osuna was the only person killed in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol.RELATED: Girl, 12, among victims in fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 805 in University City areaA six-month-old boy, believed to be Osuna's son, also suffered "major to moderate injuries" in the crash. 10News learned that the boy was taken to Mission Viejo hospital.Two other children from different vehicles were also hospitalized with unknown injuries.A 22-year-old Nevada man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to ABC7 in Los Angeles. Authorities believe he caused the chain-reaction crash.An Uber driver told ABC7 that his Toyota Prius -- which had no passengers at the time -- was the first to be struck by the suspect’s Dodge Challenger. (KGTV) - A proposed bill moving through California's legislature would — hopefully — eliminate fears of an awful driver's license photo.SB-1407 would allow drivers to have the ultimate say in their license photo. The bill would let drivers take up to three pictures at the Department of Motor Vehicles and then choose which one they like best.Drivers would also be allowed to have their photo taken outside of the DMV by a pre-approved photography center.RELATED: California DMVs now taking applications for Real ID driver's licenses, identification cardsWhile all of this sounds great for drivers who loathe their license photo, it could come at a cost. The bill says there would be an extra fee for each additional photo but didn't specify how much. That revenue would be put toward driver's education programs at public schools.So far, the bill has passed through the state Senate Transportation Committee Tuesday and has been referred next to the Committee on Appropriations. 1002

(CNN) -- Retired NFL fullback Le'Ron McClain took to Twitter Saturday to plead for help dealing with head and brain troubles he said have resulted from playing football.In a series of emotional and expletive-filled tweets, McClain said his brain is tired and he needs to get his "head checked.""Need to tell my story of how my head is crazy and how football did it," McClain wrote. "Please someone help me get this out the @NFL puts paperwork in out (sic) faces and thats it."Reports show an increasing number of retired NFL players who have suffered repetitive hits to the head have developed memory and cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's, depression and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). CTE is a degenerative disease of the brain and is associated with repeated head traumas like concussions.The NFL acknowledged a connection between football and CTE for the first time in 2016 and has since rolled out initiatives intended to increase the game's safety and to prevent and treat head injuries.But McClain said he hasn't received the treatment he needs and called on the NFL for help."I have to get my head checked.
