These two completely different events would serendipitously come together to inspire our community, which is why it is Positively Milwaukee.It has been a long journey for six-year-old Tristan Zick and “Maxwell the Pig.” They met for the first time at Heartland Farm Sanctuary, just outside Madison.To say Tristan is a fan of pigs would be an understatement.“Pigs are my favorite animal," Tristan squealed. "I love piggies!”Maxwell made it to the sanctuary after leaping out of a truck to his freedom. He is now all healed from his wounds.This is something Tristan can relate to. He had heart surgery nine months ago, and so did his stuffed pig.His mom Stacy adds, “What was wonderful was that he was able to take care of the little pig, and I think that alleviated his pain because he was looking after his little stuffed pig. It was so cute!”When Tristan’s birthday rolled around this year, they came across Maxwell’s story. In lieu of gifts, the family raised money to help the piggy recover. The family even hosted a drive-thru bake sale, where the family baked pig-shaped cookies.Stacy shares what blew her away most of all, “[The sanctuary worker] asked what Tristan’s birthday was, and I told him. DENVER – The Facebook data of 136,000 Coloradans obtained by British data firm Cambridge Analytica is still floating around despite claims it was destroyed, according to a Wednesday report from U.K.-based Channel 4 News. But the man who was in charge of the Colorado group that used the firm during the 2014 election says neither he nor the group possesses the data.Channel 4 News says its reporters had reviewed the data, which its report said came from a Cambridge Analytica source. The report says the data confirms details on the thousands of Colorado residents affected, as well as “each person’s personality and psychological profile.”The reporter who presented the story spoke with several Colorado residents whose data was contained within the list, which was in possession of Channel 4’s source, according to a Channel 4 employee who agreed to speak with Scripps station KMGH in Denver about the story on the condition they not be named.“The data is also known to have been passed around using generic, non-corporate email systems, outside of the servers of Cambridge Analytica, and linked company SCL,” the report states.The Channel 4 employee says the data appears to have been widely shared in the past.Channel 4 verified that the 2014 data it reviewed is authentic and came, in part, from a Cambridge University researcher, Dr. Aleksandr Kogan. Kogan built an app in which he used the data in accordance with Facebook’s rules at the time, but he originally said he was using the data only for academic purposes before teaming up with Cambridge Analytica. Facebook claims that by additionally using it for political purposes, Cambridge Analytica violated the social networking site's terms of service.Both Facebook and Cambridge Analytica claimed that the British data firm deleted the data in 2015, but the Channel 4 report calls that claim into question.A Cambridge spokesperson told Channel 4 that it “deleted all GSR data and took appropriate steps to ensure that any copies of the data were deleted…It is untrue that we failed to take appropriate measures to ensure that GSR data were deleted.”Facebook has since launched an investigation to determine whether or not Cambridge indeed deleted the data and has suspended the company. DETROIT — A 20-year-old woman believed to have died was found breathing at a Detroit funeral home.According to an attorney hired by her family, workers at the funeral home were close to embalming Timesha Beauchamp before realizing that she was still breathing."They were about to embalm her which is most frightening had she not had her eyes open. They would have begun draining her blood to be very, very frank about it," said Geoffrey Fieger, an attorney who has been hired by Beauchamp's family.On Sunday morning, paramedics with the Southfield Fire Department in Michigan responded after receiving a call about an unresponsive woman. The department's fire chief said Beauchamp was not breathing when the paramedics arrived.First responders determined after 30 minutes of revival efforts that she was deceased."Because there was no indication of foul play, as per standard operating procedure, the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and given the medical data. The patient was again determined to have expired and the body was released directly to the family to make arrangements with a funeral home of their choosing," the chief said in a statement.Fieger says that Beauchamp's godmother — a registered nurse — tried to tell EMS workers that she felt a pulse.Hours later, the staff at the James H. Cole funeral home realized she was still breathing. "It’s one of people's worst nightmares to imagine having an ambulance called and instead, sending you off to a funeral home in a body bag. The funeral home unzipping the body bag, literally, that’s what happened to Timesha, and seeing her alive with her eyes open," Fieger said.Beauchamp is in critical condition at Sinai Grace Hospital and is on a ventilator. Fieger said that the 90-minute delay Beauchamp encountered by going to the funeral home instead of going to the hospital may be critical to her recovery.It is still unclear what led up to the call for the unresponsive woman.“A local emergency department physician pronounced the patient deceased based upon medical information provided by the Southfield Fire Department at the scene. After which, the Southfield Police Department contacted the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office to notify them of the findings and the on-duty forensic pathologist released the body to the family," the Southfield Fire Department said in a statement. "The Southfield Fire and Police Departments followed all appropriate city, county and state protocols and procedures in this case. The City of Southfield is currently conducting a thorough internal investigation in addition to the Oakland County Medical Control Authority (OCMCA) which will be reporting their findings to the State of Michigan Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness (BETP). DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) -- Scott Eastwood was caught on video taking down signs as Del Mar residents protested a proposed luxury resort Sunday. A protestor, Spencer Gobar, who confronted Eastwood in the video, told 10News that the actor identified himself to the group as an official from the city.Eastwood reportedly told demonstrators to take down signs and banners at Del Mar Plaza. However, Gobar said she recognized Eastwood as soon as she saw his face, having seen him numerous times around the area. She asked him by name to stop trying to remove the sign. Eastwood then walked away as the protestors heckled him about his actions and about his famous father, Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood."It all happened so fast," Gobar told 10News. "The last thing I was expecting was for this D-list celebrity to show up and try to dismantle the sign."Eastwood owns at least one business in the North County, a clothing company based in Encinitas. However, it is not clear why he wanted the protest signs against Del Mar Measure G removed.
