PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — InfoWars correspondent Millicent "Millie" Weaver was arrested on an indictment at a home in Portage County Friday, according to court records.Weaver, 29, has been charged with three felonies — robbery, tampering with evidence, obstructing justice — and domestic violence, according to an indictment filed on July 20 in Portage County Court of Common Pleas.Charles L. Weaver and Gavon S. Wince were indicted on the same charges, according to court records.Weaver aired a portion of her arrest on social media on Friday. In her video, a deputy told her that a grand jury indicted her and instructed her to come with him to the patrol car.In the video, Weaver said she had no idea why she was being arrested, calling it "crazy." The live video of her arrest was viewed thousands of times.Weaver creates videos for her website "Millennial Millie" where she says she "breaks through the lies of the mainstream media with hard-hitting reporting and investigative reports." She also hosts a YouTube channel with over 400,000 followers.Created by far-right radio host Alex Jones, InfoWars is a website and internet radio show that has been known for amplifying conspiracy theories. Many social media sites have removed Jones from their platforms due to his spread of disinformation.Jones is also currently facing several lawsuits from the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook shootings. Jones has claimed the shooting is a "hoax" and has claimed victims' loved ones are simply actors.Weaver joined InfoWars in 2012.This story was originally published by Kaylyn Hlavaty on WEWS in Cleveland. 1618

President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold his daily news conference on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET from the White House briefing room.Trump will likely face questions about mail-in voting after a Fox News interview aired Thursday morning where Trump said he would block funding for the US Postal Service. The service, which has slowed down mail processing, says it is in need of funding to speed up mail delivery. The speed of mail deliveries has prompted concerns that ballots and ballot applications might not arrive in a timely manner. While a number of states have long conducted mail-in voting without issue, more voters are expected to utilize mail-in voting because of the coronavirus pandemic."They want three and a 0 million for something that'll turn out to be fraudulent, that's election money basically. They want .5 billion for the mail-in votes. Universal mail-in ballots. They want billion, billion, for the Post Office. Now they need that money in order to make the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots," Trump said.Trump has long opposed funding to conduct mail-in voting, repeating claims that mail-in voting leads to fraud. Trump has long tried to sow doubts on US elections; after his 2017 inauguration, he formed a voting fraud commission that disbanded after the panel did not release any reports indicating widespread voting abuses.Trump might also be questioned following comments from CDC Director Robert Redfield, who stated in an interview with WebMD that the coronavirus could cause a deadly fall.“I'm asking you to do four simple things: wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands and be smart about crowds. If we don't do that, as I said last April, this could be the worst fall, from a public health perspective, we've ever had.” 1819

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert is his choice to succeed Nikki Haley as US ambassador to the United Nations.Nauert, a former Fox News host who arrived at the State Department in 2017, would be a relatively inexperienced newcomer in one of the most high-profile positions in US diplomacy. Her nomination sets the stage for a potentially tough Senate confirmation hearing, where Democrats will likely grill Nauert on her qualifications for the position. In an administration rife with internal conflict and deeply distrustful of the UN, Nauert's nomination would place a less senior person at the international agency than Haley, who reportedly sparred with other administration officials. This story is breaking and will be updated.The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2018 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. Political leaders on both sides of the aisle are stressing the importance of wearing masks. That now includes Republicans like Vice President Mike Pence and the governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson. On the Democratic side, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says a federal mandate on face coverings is long overdue.Rodica Damian, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Houston, tells us seeing prominent political figures accept masks will influence individual decisions.Damian says there's two main sources of what drives behavior, personality and social context. Identifying with a certain political group adds social context.“A lot of people who don't wear masks think they're not wearing masks because they're kind of independent thinking, but it's very likely they're also following social norms,” said Damian. “They're just following social norms of a group that thinks you shouldn't wear masks.”When it comes to personality, Damian says people who are more responsible, rule-following, and pro-social tend to wear masks. Those who don't may have higher levels of narcissism or be more impulsive.“We're all on a continuum, so I don't want to put people in categories, so depending on where you fall on that continuum on each of these traits, they're all going to feed into your decision,” said Damian.Damian says we should remember that across the country and across party lines, the majority of people are strongly in favor of wearing masks. 1465
