Could 2020 be the year that such a progressive dream becomes a reality?THE POLLSPolls suggest a close race. Real Clear Politics, which averages recent polls, puts President Donald Trump up by just 0.2% in Texas. Not every state has a team in place, so the move suggests Team Biden believes it can force Trump to campaign more in Texas. In the 2020 general election, President-elect Joe Biden beat out a number of formidable candidates to earn the highest office in the land, including President Donald Trump, Libertarian nominee Jo Jorgensen and Santa Claus.Yes, even ol' Kris Kringle received at least one vote for president in 2020, according to the Vermont Secretary of State's website.Every state has its own rules for conducting write-in candidates. In fact, according to Ballotpedia, most states will only accept votes for certain pre-approved write-in candidates.Ballotpedia reports that only eight states — Alabama, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Wyoming — will count the write-in votes for any write-in candidate. And of those states, it appears only Vermont publishes the name of every write-in candidate on its election results webpage.Write-in candidates received 1,942 votes for president in Vermont in the 2020 presidential election. That's compared to the 242,820 that Biden received in carrying the state. It's also more than the 1,269 that independent candidate Kanye West received, despite being listed on the ballot.Among write-in candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders received the most with 619. That's not exactly a surprise — the left-wing, progressive senator calls the state home and is currently in the midst of his third term as one of the state's senators.Other top vote-getters included moderate Republicans like Sen. Mitt Romney (57 votes) and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (30 votes). Candidates who sought the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, like Rep. It's a place known for some of the most incredible sightseeing in Arizona, but even with its beauty, it's no stranger to tragedy."It breaks my heart," said Andrea Lankford, a former park ranger at the Grand Canyon National Park. "I looked at her pictures. She looks like such a nice person. I'm sorry to her family."Arizona resident, 59-year-old Maria Andrea Salgado Lopez, died Friday, July 3, after falling off a rim west of Mather Point. It's an area Lankford says can see hundreds of tourists at a time."That's often your first view of the Grand Canyon when you come," she added. "There's also a lot of what we call 'social paths,' where people are going your own way and trying to get a unique view or unique photo."Grand Canyon Park officials say Salgado Lopez was taking photos before she fell. Her body was discovered about 100 feet below the rim."It's really sad to go out there and think you're just going for a vacation and sightseeing, and you come back without your mom or your wife," said Miriam Weiner. She and her daughter were visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time when the woman fell to her death."I saw people out in that area start to hug each other, trying to comfort each other and shield them from what they were seeing," she added. "So, that told me this is really bad."Weiner started recording video shortly after the fall, where you can hear many screaming for help."I just feel really bad for the family," she said. "I've been thinking about what they must be going through and it just brings tears to my eyes."The National Park Service says they see an average of 12 deaths a year at the Grand Canyon, but not all related to falls. Others happen due to heat-related or medical issues. However, Lankford says despite safety measures and previous incidents, falls are not uncommon.She says park rangers aren't always available to watch over visitors either."Their staffing is low and it's a busy park," she said. "Rescue Rangers could very well be busy on another incident while you're at Mather Point, so there's rarely rangers that are standing there to warn you. INDIANAPOLIS -- A Bloomington, Indiana auto dealership was told to stop selling cars after the Indiana Secretary of State's Office discovered the business is not licensed in the state. The secretary of state's office issued a cease and desist Friday to H Auto for selling cars without a license and illegally issuing interim license plates.H Auto has been advertising in English and Chinese and allegedly may have been targeting Chinese students at Indiana University, according to the secretary of state. The advertisements say to make an appointment because H Auto does business by appointment only, but typically most dealerships do walk-in business.Some customers of H Auto allege that they were sold cars with fake New Jersey license plates.Others allege the auto dealer took their money but they never got a title for the vehicle they purchased.The secretary of state's office and Bloomington police are currently investigating.If you believe you may have been victimized by H Auto, call the secretary of state's office at 317-234-7190 1074

It's there for everybody rather than the exorbitant prices that it is at times."Stanton says she's spending her summer preparing for more digital instruction this fall."I hope to see my kids in some capacity, whether it be face-to-face or virtual or blended," she said. "But I also worry about school being a safe haven for so many of my students. What happens when they come to school sick, and we all get infected and bring it home to our kids and our families?
