Timothy Valero, he and his wife are expecting their second child. Since he is deployed, and could not be with his wife to find out the gender of their baby, she wanted to reveal it in a unique way.Veteto was a punter at the U.S. Naval Academy, so she filled a football with colored power and sent it his way.Surrounded by a group of Marines in the 5th Fleet area of operations, he kicked the ball.A big pink powdery cloud revealed they are having a baby girl.“It was fantastic breaking open the football,” Veteto said. “The Marines were excited about it and I appreciated that.” 872

(KGTV) — Clark County officials have identified the passenger of a plane that crashed in the Las Vegas area shortly after takeoff to San Diego.The county's Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner says 35-year-old Tyrone Cabalar was killed in the crash on Oct. 29, according to KTNV, ABC 10News' Scripps sister station in Las Vegas. Cabalar was one of two people aboard the twin-engine 1974 Cessna 310R when it went down minutes after taking off from North Las Vegas Airport.The pilot of the plane, which was heading to Gillespie Field in San Diego, has not been identified.RELATED: FAA: Small plane heading to San Diego crashes in Las VegasOn Oct. 29 the plane crashed at about 9:30 a.m. near Raven Avenue and Hinson Street, several miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip. (KGTV) -- Firefighters battling the Carr Fire went beyond the call of duty, taking care of a fish left behind by a family forced to evacuate.According to a tweet from Cal Fire, a father informed his daughter that their fish most likely didn’t survive.When they arrived home, they were greeted with a well-fed fish and a note from the firefighters.The note reads, “Fed your fish a few sprinkles. Sorry if we weren’t supposed to.” As of Sunday morning, the tweet had racked up more than 10,000 likes and retweets. 519
