Children being exposed to just the powder or residue is a bad situation that can turn deadly."While a police officer in Ohio recently claimed ot have overdosed on fentanyl by simply touching the substance, some experts dispute the officer's claim.According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, opioids killed more than 33,000 people in 2015. A Southwest flight from Nashville to Phoenix had to circle around and come back to Nashville after the plane hit a bird.The flight took off from Nashville International Airport Wednesday around 5:13 a.m. local time.The flight path showed Flight 577 circle from west to north, turning back south to head back to the airport shortly after takeoff.Scripps station WTVF in Nashville learned the flight had to land due to an Alert 1, meaning the plane possibly had a minor electrical or mechanical problem. Airline officials confirmed the plane experienced a bird strike.No injuries or other issues have been reported.The plane was taken out of service for maintenance, and the airline said they're working with affected passengers to help them on to their destinations.The incident comes just a day after one person died when a Southwest flight made an emergency landing at the Philadelphia airport when an explosion damaged an engine and broke a window. 978

A postal worker's union says that USPS employees were not involved in an incident that led to several unopened mail bags dumped in two separate locations in Glendale, California, last week.On Thursday, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles obtained surveillance footage that showed a Budget rental truck pulling into the parking lot of Glendale spa.That morning, at about 5:40 a.m. local time, the truck pulled into the parking lot of 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics and began pulling bags of unopened mail and packages out of the truck. The truck later pulled away, leaving the mail behind.About two hours after the truck initially pulled up at 7Q, the Glendale Police Department received a call about a second large pile of mail that was found in an alley about a half a mile away.It's unclear if the two instances are related. The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that the Glendale Police Department had opened investigations into the incidents.On Tuesday, Omar Gonzalez, the Western Regional Coordinator for the American Postal Workers Union, told CNN that the person caught on surveillance footage dumping mail was a "contractor," and not a USPS employee.It's unclear how the mail made it on to a Budget rental truck. Mail coming into the Glendale post office is supposed to arrive on USPS trucks."If it's outgoing, we don't know how it got into the Budget truck," Gonzalez told CNN.CNN also confirmed Tuesday that the Postal Inspector's Office had opened an investigation. The mail recovered from the scene will "go through a verification process and be delivered."The mail dumping incidents come amid scrutiny of the USPS following the appointment of Louis DeJoy as postmaster general. A school bus driver's camera recorded the scary moment when another driver stopped in the middle of the Massachusetts Pike, exited his car and climbed onto the hood of the bus.Video recorded Tuesday shows a man forcing the bus to stop in the middle of the highway, then climb onto the vehicle's hood.The man got out right in the middle of the highway and he goes to the door of the bus.The bus driver does not let him in. So, he then goes back to the front and jumps right on the hood.The bus driver says the man was screaming that the windows on the bus were too dark."A man jumped on my bus going on the Mass. Turnpike, pulled me over in the middle lane and stopped the bus," said the bus driver."What did he say to you?" asked WCVB reporter John Atwater."His words were, 'Why are your windows dark?' I had the same reaction!
