SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Ross Rock, or as locals prefer "The Rock," has had its share of headgear.The lone rock just off the coast from Sunset Cliffs Boulevard has been the target of vandals in the past and has again been crowned, this time by a mermaid.It's not clear how the mermaid was installed on top of the rock. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers and police investigators announced Tuesday a reward to find a woman suspected of identity theft and using fraudulent credit cards at Walmart. The woman opened two separate credit card accounts at the Murphy Canyon and Grossmont Center stores Dec. 18, according to the San Diego Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit. The woman bought ,500 worth of items at each store. Police said the woman also tried to open fraudulent credit accounts at a Marshalls and Target store in Kearny Mesa, but was unsuccessful. The woman later went to a Chase Bank and took nearly ,000 in cash from the bank account of a victim whose identity she stole, police said. The victim’s credit monitoring service notified her of the fraudulent activity. Investigators believe the suspect is using a fake identification card using the victim’s basic information. The victim doesn’t know how the woman obtained her personal data, police said. The suspect, who is white and in her mid 20s to late 30s, was wearing a dark-colored wig while at the bank. She also wore glasses with dark-colored frames. Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1223

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating Tuesday the report of a woman's body found in the water at Bonita Cove in Mission Bay.A person walking on the beach found the remains of the woman about 10:20 a.m., San Diego Police Lt. Chris Sharp said.There was no indication of foul play but there were injuries to the body, said Lt. Sharp.The Medical Examiner will try to identify the victim and conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.Bonita Cove is a busy area of Mission Bay. Several boats and recreational vehicles were nearby when the discovery was made. Police did not elaborate on possible witnesses.10News is monitoring breaking developments in this story. 690

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Border Patrol Sector Chief Rodney Scott spoke to 10 News about his time with President Trump during Tuesday's border wall prototype tour in Otay Mesa. Scott was by Trump's side as he got a closer look at the eight sample walls finished last October. He said the president asked a lot of questions and was curious about the opinions and experiences of the Border Patrol agents.     467
