Vibrant splashes of paint embellish the walls in an otherwise ordinary building.The Nipper family is putting the finishing touches on what they hope will become a safe haven for Las Vegas teens who may need a little help.“If some teen is feeling suicidal or just needs to talk to somebody, they don't have to be put on a waiting list,” says co-administrator Nicholas Nipper. “They don't they don't have to be postponed and put off because they don't have the right insurance.”When it opens, the non-profit ‘Kyler’s Kicks Lounge’ will provide a safe space for teens with access to mental healthcare professionals, therapeutic activities and important social resources. All of it will be free of cost.“It's not just mental health care. Kids will be able to come in here and get tutoring you know get food and learn valuable life skills that they won't learn in school,” says 14-year-old Kyler Nipper.The endeavor is the next step in healing for the teen. When he was just eleven, he survived being bullied and stabbed by a classmate over his school shoes.“I never really realized that your life could end at any moment,” says Kyler. “So, I want to make sure that you have made an impact that you made other people's lives amazing”For the last three years he’s given away shoes through his non-profit ‘Kyler’s Kicks.’ For him, it was a way to help cope with PTSD after the attack and at the same time doing something to help others.“He loves doing it,” says Kyler’s father Nicholas Nipper. “He loves helping people he loves giving. This is a new venture.”It’s a new venture that Kyler says he hopes will provide access to mental healthcare for countless others like him.“My parents had to be willing to sacrifice all the money that we have to get me to see a therapist and have mental health care. Waffle House says it is closing 420 restaurants across the country.In a Tuesday morning tweet, Waffle House said the vast majority of its locations would remain open.According to a map included in Waffle House's tweet, many of the chain's northernmost locations will close. Most of the restaurant's locations in Ohio, northern Virginia and Maryland are among those that will be shut down.Waffle House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.The closures come as the Trump administration has urged Americans to avoid eating in restaurant dining rooms, encouraging them instead to order take-out or go through drive-thrus at least through the weekend.FEMA has confirmed that they measure the severity of a disaster by how many Waffle Houses in an area remain open. Because the restaurants are open 24/7 and rarely close, a high number of Waffle House closures in an area can signal the area needs federal assistance. Waffle House released the following statement: Hour by hour, Waffle House’s reality is changing. We continue to adapt as different restrictions are imposed on how businesses can operate. This week, with stricter restrictions being implemented, our system sales have declined by about 70% below normal levels. So, we’ve made some painful decisions. If Trump does assert executive privilege, the decision could be litigated in court if it's challenged, which Democrats would almost certainly do."There's always tension between what looks best politically and what represents the interests of the institution -- the office of the presidency," one source close to the White House said. "Preserving executive privilege trumps political optics."While Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani suggested privilege could be used to keep parts of the report from public view, the issue is up to the White House, not the President's personal attorneys.The Justice Department and White House declined comment.As the White House is bracing for Mueller's investigation to conclude, some officials describe a sense of anxiety at the contents of the report, even as they welcome the probe's end.A person close to the President's legal team offered some caution in a sign of the level of anxiety about how closely held Mueller has kept his investigation."Let's get the airplane on the runway and see what we got," the source said.But Trump, who spent part of this weekend lambasting Mueller on Twitter, does not plan to be blindsided by what the Justice Department possibly discloses to Congress and the public of the report.
