NEW YORK (AP) — Dunkin' doughnuts and coffee is being combined with Buffalo Wild Wings and Arby's sandwiches.Inspire Brands Inc. said Friday that it is acquiring Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. for .3 billion, including the Dunkin' Brands' debt that Inspire will be taking on.The private-equity firm will pay 6.50 in cash for all of Dunkin' Brands' shares, which closed Friday at .71.Dunkin' Brands' stock surged to an all-time high earlier this week after the company confirmed the two were in merger talks.Dunkin', based in Canton, Massachusetts, also owns the Baskin-Robbins ice cream chain."Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins are category leaders with more than 70 years of rich heritage, and together they are two of the most iconic restaurant brands in the world," Paul Brown, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Brands, said in the news release.There are 12,500 Dunkin' stores and 8,000 Baskin-Robbins outlets worldwide.Inspire will operate Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins as distinct brands, the company stated.According to the New York Times, this is the largest restaurant acquisition in more than a decade. 1129

North Korea has threatened to abandon planned talks between leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump in June if Washington insists on pushing it "into a corner" on nuclear disarmament.A statement published by the state-run Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) said North Korea would never accept economic assistance from the US in exchange for unilaterally abandoning its nuclear program.Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea's First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was quoted in the article as saying "the US is talking about giving us economic rewards and benefits when we give up nuclear weapons.""We have never built our economy expecting things from the US and will never do such a deal in the future," he added.If the Trump administration was "genuinely committed" to improving ties with Pyongyang, "they will receive a deserving response," Kim said. NEW YORK (AP) — Nearly six months after the coronavirus forced its closure, the 9/11 Memorial Museum will be reopening on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks next month. The memorial plaza had been open to the public with social distancing restrictions since early July, but the museum remained closed as did other cultural institutions. The anniversary day re-opening will be reserved for families of those killed in the 2001 attack and the 1993 World Trade Center attack. The public will be able to visit starting Sept. 12. Pandemic restrictions will be in effect, such as a limit of 25% of capacity, and a requirement to wear masks. 648
