Braxton Ryback, 25, and Johnny Young, 22, were recently arrested by Las Vegas police after threatening to shoot up the XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas.The incident happened Aug. 10. Police were also told that the men told security that they were going to come back and shoot the place up. Young then allegedly returned to the hotel-casino with pepper spray.During an interview with police, Young told police that he had a weapon in his vehicle at the Wynn and another weapon in his apartment. He also told police that Ryback spent time on a website called "Daily Stormer" and that he shared Ryback's beliefs. Young also told police that he was drunk and angry at security because they had stopped him from taking photos of security cameras but he never had any intention of hurting someone. ARKANSAS — This week, the community of Willow Beach, Arkansas, just north of Little Rock, is being tested by Mother Nature.It’s a neighborhood fighting off the rising floodwaters of the nearby Arkansas River.“I don't think you'll find a better neighborhood in the United States than this,” resident May Morris said.“This whole thing is like a war. You know … you’re just trying to see what your enemy's doing, where it is going, and try to get out in front of it and stop it.,” resident Jerry Yanker said.Yanker’s weapon of choice is plastic tubing filled with water, and sandbags, forming a fortress around the house.“The strategy now is you try to dam it off and contain it, so now you just try to pump it out faster than it comes in. And you can, up to a limit,” he said.Yanker has rigged makeshift pumps, and so far, they have kept the water from seeping in underneath his home.He isn’t fighting the battle alone.“There are three houses of us here, we are kind of like a crisis crew. ... You wake up and say, for me, today, here's my priorities to get done. And then they'll come over and say, ‘Oh! Robert’s pipe has rolled! We gotta get over and sandbag’,” he said.Two houses down, Kenny and May Morris, with feet of water in their backyard, say their neighborhood crisis crew is the reason they’ve been able to keep a smile on their faces and push forward."We put out the little email or call in the morning, and before you know it, the street’s full of people and throwing sandbags,” Kenny Morris said. "It's really humbled us."“It makes tears come to your eyes to talk about it, to think about what’s gonna happen to a lot of good neighbors. and possibly us. And it’s already happened to five to six neighbors on the other end. BAKERSFIELD, Cali. — A California native is learning that her family tree is a lot larger than she had ever thought after growing up as an only child. Forty-one years late, she found that she has 22 half brothers and sisters that she never knew about.Jennifer Slayton said that she took a 23andme DNA test four months ago and was contacted by one of her half brothers in January. She was then introduced to her 21 other half-siblings shortly after.Slayton said there could be more siblings out there, but she's grateful to have the ones she has.She said that she first learned she was donor conceived at the age of 17. Slayton said that her father was diagnosed with a very serious form of dementia that was hereditary and this caused her to be worried that she would inherit it. That's when her mother informed her that he was not biologically her father.She said that technology limitations at the time kept her from finding her father, but in 2018 her husband wanted to try out the DNA kit for fun.After the results came back, one of her half brothers, Evan, contacted her. She asked how many of them there were and he told Slayton that she was number 21. "They're amazing, like I went and met them for the first time and I was really nervous and I walked in and it was like meeting versions of myself," Slayton said. "Like all of these people have so much in common with me and they are nice, obviously, and they are friendly and we have a lot of the same interests and the same mannerisms, we all talk with our hands a lot."Slayton has since started making new memories with her half siblings and has met her donor. She said that she has several family get-togethers planned and they are all waiting to see if more matches pop up. 1748

Artificial intelligence is being used by companies around the world, allowing many stories to go cashierless.Mike Fogarty, founder of Choice Market, says great food, service and quick check-outs are essential.“Currently, we have the ability for folks to order online on an app and use one of our self-checkouts back here,” Fogarty says. “We also have a traditional point of sale over here.”In six months, Choice Market plans to introduce a cashierless system using artificial intelligence technology.“Using cameras, sensors and other things within the store to monitor what’s being taken off the shelf, what a customer is walking out with, and ultimately, charging it to their credit card or the app,” Fogarty explains. However, Choice Market isn’t the only store doing this. Amazon Go stores are popping up across the country.“Many other retailers, including ourselves, are looking at this as a way to really enhance the customer experience,” Fogarty says. “And [in] my opinion, you will see this in almost every retailer in the very near future.”As far as jobs go, Fogarty says he doesn’t plan on letting any employees go once the new stores open. 1161
