(CNN) -- Retired NFL fullback Le'Ron McClain took to Twitter Saturday to plead for help dealing with head and brain troubles he said have resulted from playing football.In a series of emotional and expletive-filled tweets, McClain said his brain is tired and he needs to get his "head checked.""Need to tell my story of how my head is crazy and how football did it," McClain wrote. "Please someone help me get this out the @NFL puts paperwork in out (sic) faces and thats it."Reports show an increasing number of retired NFL players who have suffered repetitive hits to the head have developed memory and cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's, depression and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). CTE is a degenerative disease of the brain and is associated with repeated head traumas like concussions.The NFL acknowledged a connection between football and CTE for the first time in 2016 and has since rolled out initiatives intended to increase the game's safety and to prevent and treat head injuries.But McClain said he hasn't received the treatment he needs and called on the NFL for help."I have to get my head checked. (KGTV) — California is now allowing breweries, bars, wineries, and distilleries to sell drinks to-go if they partner with a meal provider to provide food as well.The state's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announced the change Friday, allowing locations that do not have their own kitchen to reopen for business in some fashion.The change comes after several requests to expand to-go sales to breweries, bars, wineries, and distilleries that do not have kitchens, according to ABC. (KGTV) — Attorney General William Barr has decided to self-quarantine out of caution after President Donald Trump and several other lawmakers and aides tested positive for the coronavirus this week.Barr has had four COVID-19 tests since Friday and all have been negative, according to Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec. Services marking the arrival of the year 5780 on the Hebrew calendar feature the blowing of the shofar, a ram's horn mentioned in the Torah and used by ancient Jews in religious ceremonies and as a call to arms and now used at Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashana is a time when Jews gather with family members and their communities to reflect on the past year and the one beginning. Celebrants also eat festive meals featuring apples dipped in honey, symbolic of the wishes for a sweet year. Rosh Hashana begins a period of contemplation and repentance culminating in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Judaism's most solemn and somber day. During the High Holy Days, Jewish tradition holds that God records the fate of each person for the coming year in the Book of Life, which is sealed at the end of Yom Kippur.
