Twitter is reopening its application for people to apply for a verified badge.The social media giant announced through a blog post that they are working on a new verification policy and are inviting feedback from the public before they implement it. Accounts that would be eligible for having a blue badge next to their name would work in government, non-profits, news, entertainment, sports, and those described as "influential individuals."Twitter said they've added proposed criteria to automatically remove verification from inactive accounts or remove badges from accounts that repeatedly violate Twitter rules.The public feedback period will last from Nov. 24 to Dec. 8, Twitter stated on its FAQ.Twitter said they'll begin to enforce the new policy on Dec. 17. 775

TUCSON, Ariz. — A team of researchers at the University of Arizona believe they've found an important clue in the fight against an aggressive form of brain cancer.Glioblastoma is the cancer that killed Sen. John McCain in August and Sen. Ted Kennedy in 2009.People are diagnosed with glioblastoma live, on average, for another 11 to 15 months. Very few survive the disease, so the group of researchers wanted to know why some patients live longer than others.Professor of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Baldassarre Stea, says the clue lies in the RNA of short and long-term patients.The team looked at the genetic variation in about three dozen patients.What they found is a gene called WIF1 is distinctly higher in patients who survive longer, according to Dr. Stea. TWIN LAKES, Colo. -- Riley Tinkham has done something very special with his dad's prized Porsche.He inherited the 1982 model when his father, Richard, died of complications from cancer in 2016. The car had been sitting in a garage for several years, so Tinkham fixed it up.Earlier this summer he took the car and parked it in front of his house in Twin Lakes, Colorado. TUCSON, Ariz. — Police in Marana, Arizona are investigating after a man was reportedly holding a gun in his lap at a Starbucks near Cortaro and I-10 Saturday morning.Marana Police say around 8:45 a.m. there was a report of the man having his finger on the trigger of an un-holstered gun. The man was detained without incident when officers arrived. No one was hurt.Authorities say the man, 51-year-old James Vincent Delaney, was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Facility on felony Disorderly Conduct and Weapons Misconduct related charges.  592

UPDATE (6:36 P.M.): Sheriff's deputies say Lorraine Craw has been safely located.LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) — San Diego deputies on Sunday asked the public for help finding a missing 72-year-old at-risk woman.San Diego Sheriff's Department says Lorraine Craw disappeared from her home near Sohail Street in Lakeside on Sunday. She suffers from dementia and doesn't have a purse or identification on her. She will not know who she is, the department added.Craw is described as a white female, 5' tall, weighing 160 pounds, and with grey hair. She was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt, black or blue pants, and tennis shoes.Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call SDSO at 858-565-5200. 712
