BELGRADE, March 21 (Xinhua) -- A team of Chinese medical staff with experience in fighting COVID-19 arrived in the Serbian capital on Saturday evening to help with the Balkan state's battle against the virus.

Wang said that the Chinese side has been sharing epidemic-related information and carrying out anti-epidemic cooperation with the international community in an open, transparent and responsible manner since the beginning of its fight against the outbreak, adding that the country is currently providing various forms of support to nearly 100 countries in need.

He thanked China for its support of anti-epidemic supplies to France, which demonstrates the profound friendship and good relations between France and China, while hoping that China will continue to provide convenience to France's commercial procurement of anti-epidemic equipment in China.

Though China itself at present still needs a large amount of medical materials, the country, overcoming the difficulties, will offer Italy with assistance like medical materials including face masks, and accelerate and enhance the exports of supplies and equipments to meet Italy's urgent need, Wang said.

The Cypriot side, actively committed to expanding Cyprus-China friendship, is ready to protect the health and safety of Chinese citizens in Cyprus, Christodoulides said.
