SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One person died and another was hospitalized after a single-car crash near the harbor in downtown San Diego Sunday morning.Authorities say the crash happened on North Harbor Drive and Broadway just after 2 a.m. Police say one person died at the scene and a woman was rushed to the hospital following the crash.Harbor Police say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and crashed into a palm tree causing the vehicle to catch fire.Officers said they believe the woman was ejected from the car. Police are working to identify both victims of the crash.Police say though the car is unrecognizable following the crash, they believe the car is an exotic vehicle.Harbor Drive will remain closed for at least the next three hours, according to police. 817

Many of the most popular items ordered were soups.Heading into spring, the app went further and looked at orders over the spring 2017 and 2018 to predict what San Diegans would likely order. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon putting some TLC into the Balboa Park Carousel.Built over 100 years ago, the carousel has broken down only three times. That's in part due to support from the community and the dedication of Carousel Manager Bill Brown. He started working at the carousel at age 16 and never left.If you'd like to support the carousel, Friends of Balboa Park is seeking donations for a million capital campaign.They hope to fund improvements to the carousel and its building, as well as complete payment of the historic relic.You can donate here. 596

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — While Saturday will start off cold, temperatures will improve through next week throughout San Diego County after a week of chilly temps and weather.A Frost Advisory will be in effect through 9 a.m. Saturday for the Inland Empire and San Diego County's valleys, as temperatures dip to the 30s an 40s, according to the National Weather Service. At higher elevations, temps could hit the teens.While temperatures are expected to warm up, conditions through the weekend will keep road conditions through some mountain roads dangerous. Snow and ice that had built up through the week will still be present, with a slight chance of flurries for the mountains Saturday.WEATHER: Up-to-date conditions throughout San Diego CountyWith the cold weather Saturday, black ice in some areas could be present.
