SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials have identified the recruit who died after going into cardiac arrest Sunday morning.The Marine Corps Recruit Deport says 21-year-old Private Patrick Armando Vega was pronounced dead just before noon on Sunday.A drill instructor found Vega unresponsive in his bed around midnight Sunday and conducted CPR. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking that additional victims come forward in a San Diego sexual assault case. According to police, Seth Roberts, 18, was arrested on December 5 for multiple sexual assaults around San Diego County that happened between early October and late November. Based on the circumstances of the cases, the San Diego Police Department Sex Crimes Unit is looking for additional victims or anyone with information. According to police, Roberts reportedly identified himself to young women and befriended them by telling them he’s from out-of-state before sexually assaulting them. According to public records, Roberts was previously arrested in Oklahoma for harboring a runaway child felon. Records also show that in April of 2018, a permanent protective order was issued against Roberts in Oklahoma. The order was filed on behalf of a 16-year-old who says Roberts inappropriately touched her even after she asked him to stop. The protective order goes on to say the victim's mother wanted criminal charges filed, but none are listed. He is currently being held on ,250,000 bail. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect Tuesday they say threatened a woman with a gun in an hotel bathroom. According to police, the incident happened in a bathroom at the Hilton on the 4200 block of Taylor Street in Old Town.Police say the man threatened the woman with a semi-automatic gun.Initially a man who matched that description was detained after a short foot chase. Police say he ran for unknown reasons but was quickly released when they determined he was not the attacker.Authorities describe the suspect as a black man in his mid-20s who is five feet, eight inches tall, was wearing a gray shirt, tan pants, a light colored backpack and has short hair.The suspect is wanted for brandishing a weapon, battery and assault with the attempt to commit a sexual offense. 806

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for the suspect who reportedly robbed a Subway in San Diego’s Corridor neighborhood at gunpoint early Sunday morning. According to police, the robbery happened on the 3300 block of University Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say the man walked into the shop, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash. After the employee handed the suspect an unknown amount of cash, the man fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, five feet, nine inches tall and “very thin.” He was wearing a black hoodie, black mask and black pants, police say. 608

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Parents who want options for their child’s education can explore the possibilities this fall through the San Diego Unified School District’s School Choice program. School Choice gives students the chance to enroll in magnet programs or schools outside their neighborhood boundaries. Parents are responsible for transportation if their children attend a school through School Choice outside their community. Parents can apply for the program online or in person. In addition to specialty programs available to students through the choice application window, San Diego Unified also has free and fee-based, full and half-day enrollment seats available in the district’s Pre-K and Headstart programs. SDUSD’s Parent Welcome Center offers help for families with preschool through high school enrollment options. It provides parents with free one-on-one enrollment assistance year-round and is located at San Diego Unified District headquarters. The center is open to families by appointment or on a walk-in basis. The enrollment window opened October 7 and closes November 20. Each year, more than 10,000 area students apply for the choice program to attend one of the more than 180 schools in San Diego Unified. Last year, approximately 75 percent of all students were seated at one of their three choices of schools.
