Forestry officials in Virginia are warning people to stay socially distant from a venomous caterpillar that looks a little like a toupee.In a social media post, the Virginia Department of Forestry shared a photo of a puss caterpillar taken recently in the eastern part of the state. Former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden were reunited Monday, when they went out for lunch at a Washington, DC, bakery.Obama and Biden spent about 45 minutes at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown. The bakery runs a fellowship program, now in its eighth class, that acts as a "living business school" for veterans, military spouses and military caregivers, Dog Tag CEO Meghan Ogilvie told COVER/LINE. Professors from Georgetown University teach fellows, who can earn a certificate of business administration from Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies.Ogilvie said she found out about six minutes before Obama and Biden arrived that they were coming. She gathered the current 13 fellows and said they would have a team meeting and surprised them when the 44th President of the United States and his Veep walked in.Obama and Biden met the fellows, took selfies with them and talked to them about their future business plans for about 20 to 30 minutes. They also grabbed a bite to eat.If it wasn't for the fact they were once leaders of the free world, "it would seem like two friends coming together to have lunch," Ogilvie said.They ordered ham and gruyère sandwiches. Obama got a side salad, and Biden got a slice of mint basil blueberry cake.Obama told Ogilvie he was aware of "the good work you've been doing" at the bakery, she said. Before long, photos of Obama and Biden at the bakery began circulating online, drawing a crowd. Former Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, who was previously fired by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, announced on Wednesday that he intends to run against Emanuel to be the city's mayor.The election will be held in February 2019. McCarthy was fired in December 2015 after it took the department 14 months to release video of the death of Laquan McDonald, who was an unarmed black 17-year-old shot and killed by Chicago Officer Jason Van Dyke. It was determined that Van Dyke had shot McDonald 16 times, leading to protests in Chicago. The case led the City of Chicago to offer a million settlement to the McDonald family, the Chicago Tribune reported. Van Dyke, who has since been charged with homicide, is still awaiting trial. McCarthy told the Tribune that he is running as a "conservative Democrat." “Between the taxes, our economy, the schools and the crime rate here, we’re a laughingstock in America,” McCarthy told the Tribune. “The prevailing thought about Chicago is we’re on our way down in all those areas, and they all infect each other, and nobody seems to get that. It’s almost like a ‘Wake up, Chicago’ moment.”McCarthy is going up against a relatively popular mayor.
