He makes his living as a glassblower and certainly knows what it's like to feel the heat."When it comes to August, it will get to 125 degrees in here," says Stone, referencing the studio where he creates his work. However, he is used to it, as he has been blowing glass for quite some time, in fact, he says he was destined to be a glassblower "I always like to start by telling people that I was born in Flushing Hospital in Flushing, New York. I was delivered by Dr. Glass," Stone says.James became interested in glassblowing in the 1980s, after taking some classes at Palomar College. He said it didn't take long before he was hooked."It's the flame, the flame, the flame is life, and the first time you get around the flame you can't get away from it," Stone said.His creations are simply mind-blowing. The colors and shapes are all beautiful works of art. "When I began in 1986, if you didn't know the formula, to take sand and then make sand into glass, you didn't blow glass," he says.But just like many other professions, the glassblowing industry has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic."It's broken my heart , oh my god it's broken my heart. COVID has changed my business, it's changed the way we do business. ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) -- An Escondido-based avocado grower is voluntarily recalling avocados sold in bulk due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Henry Avocado Corporation issued the recall Saturday due to positive test results on environmental samples taken during routine inspection of its packaging facility. So far, there are no reports of illness. The recalled products were packaged at Henry Avocado’s packaging facility and distributed to Arizona, California, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin. Customers can identify the recalled fruit by the “Bravocado” stickers. Henry Avocado organic products do not carry the “Bravocado” label on the sticker. Instead those products are labeled “organic” and include “California” on the sticker.All shipments from the facility are subject to the recall. According to the company, avocados imported from Mexico and distributed by Henry Avocado are not part of the recall. The company said in a news release that it’s contacting all affected customers to make sure the products are removed from shelves. Anyone who purchased the recalled product are urged to discard or return the items for a full refund. The company gave CNNMoney a sneak peek last week — and there's a lot that it brings to the table.It offers thousands of hours of live sports that aren't available on national TV, including, soccer, boxing, golf, rugby, cricket, and a baseball and hockey game or two every day of the MLB and NHL seasons.It has a few exclusives, too, including some episodes of the lauded ESPN documentary series "30 for 30" — plus that show's entire back catalog. There's also Kobe Bryant's new basketball analysis show "Detail," which premieres just in time for the NBA playoffs.That all adds up to a ton of content, and it's hard not to feel a bit overwhelmed by the variety. ESPN executives sounded downright breathless last week as they rattled off the number of programs they are bringing to the service."I, personally, am incredibly excited about the potential," new ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro told reporters at the company's Connecticut headquarters. "We really like our hand here."Related: ESPN+ launches into hazy future with 'Last Days of Knight'But all that pomp and circumstance comes with a couple of glaring caveats.This is not the Netflix of the sporting world. A tab that features game scores for all of my favorite teams was an added bonus.The Apple TV version of the app was just as simple to use, and even allowed me to watch up to four events simultaneously.
