INDIANAPOLIS — A baby who was left unclaimed at an Indiana hospital will receive a graveside service Friday.The baby named Steven Joseph will be honored at 1 p.m. Friday inside the Mt. Vernon Chapel at Washington Park East Cemetery. He Knows Your Name Ministry, which says it gives children dignity and honor in death by celebrating their life, claimed Steven Joseph after he was left at a hospital. The organization's founder, Linda Znachko, will officiate the service.“My goal is that no baby be left unclaimed in death,” Znachko told RTV6 in 2017.Znachko works with hospitals across Indianapolis where she gives each baby a name and a gown before the service.The public is invited to attend the service. 718

It’s been more than four months since Elana Mugdan used her smartphone. Mugdan was the winner of Vitamin Water’s contest that asked participants to go smartphone free for a year for 0,000. When she found out she was selected, Mugdan was thrilled, stating, “I would love to get rid of my phone for a year and reclaim my life.”While most of us wouldn’t ditch the smartphone for an entire year, Mugdan was up for the challenge. She says the hardest part has been navigating her way around new areas. Mugdan is an author, and she’s currently on a book tour.Her solution? “I go on Google Maps [and] print out directions,” she says.Despite some frustration, going without a phone has given her clarity and she encourages others to cut back.Mugdan recommends first limiting your screen time. INDIANAPOLIS — A private, Catholic high school in Indianapolis has fired a teacher in a same-sex marriage after Archbishop Charles Thompson of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis told the school they would forfeit their Christian identity if they didn't. After 22 months of discussion with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Cathedral High School said it made the decision to follow the direct guidance of Thompson and "separate from the teacher," the school said in a letter on their website. The school says if they did not fire the teacher, they would lose the "ability to celebrate the Sacraments as we have in the past 100 years with our students and community.""Please know that we offer our prayers and love to this teacher, our students and faculty, our Archbishop, and all associated with Cathedral as we continue to educate our students in the Catholic Holy Cross tradition," the school said in the letter.
