SAN JOSE, Calif. – A woman was caught on video intentionally coughing on a baby at a California yogurt shop after getting into an argument with the child’s mother.The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman, who they call an “assault suspect.”Police say the adult female suspect was standing in line inside a Yogurtland in front of the mother and her 1-year-old child, who was in a stroller.A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect was upset the mother was not maintaining proper social distancing, so she removed her face mask, got close to the baby’s face, and coughed two to three times, according to police.Video then shows the suspect leaving the business. (KGTV) — A man convicted of murder in Honduras was arrested after border agents say he was caught crossing the border with members of a migrant caravan in Tijuana.Miguel Angel Ramirez, 46, was arrested on Nov. 24 around 11 p.m. after he was caught entering the country illegally about a mile east of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Two other men traveling with Ramirez were also arrested, one of who had previously been deported, according to CBP.Border agents say Ramirez admitted to being convicted of murder and was released a few months ago. The Honduran Consulate in Los Angeles confirmed he had served 10 years in a Honduras prison for homicide and another 3 years for robbery. He added that he had traveled to the U.S. among the migrant caravan from Honduras, border agents said.RELATED: Mexico's new president could change border policy“It was Border Patrol agents’ effort and valued partnership with the Honduran Consulate in Los Angeles that helped us identify a dangerous convicted felon moving amongst the migrant caravan," San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodney Scott said.Ramirez and the two other men, ages 22 and 38, are all Honduran nationals and being held in Department of Homeland Security custody pending deportation proceedings.The arrest was made a day after El Centro border officials say an admitted MS-13 gang member suspected of being in the U.S. illegally was arrested near the Calexico Port of Entry.Border officials said 29-year-old Jose Villalobos-Jobel, of Honduras, told agents he had traveled to the U.S. border within the migrant caravan group as well. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Coast Guard is investigating what caused a ferry boat to crash twice into docks at San Francisco's famed Ferry Building, slightly injuring two people aboard.Coast Guard spokesman Chris Shih says investigators are looking into mechanical issues and other factors that led to Friday's crash. The agency regularly inspects the ferries.A Golden Gate Ferry spokeswoman says the boat was traveling from Larkspur and carrying 53 passengers when it struck an outer berth before bumping into another dock.The vessel's hull was damaged when it struck the concrete promenade and knocked a guardrail. The Coast Guard says there were reports of two minor injuries that didn't require treatment beyond first aid.Witness Tiffany Dennis says the crash set off panic among a crowd of people dining and shopping at the waterfront attraction. 856

  

SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man has been taken into custody following a carjacking Friday afternoon in Santee, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.The incident started on the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road around 1 p.m. when the suspect reportedly threatened to kill a 77-year-old woman and her family before hitting her, removing her from the car, and driving away with her purse and cell phone.Sheriff's deputies and La Mesa Police later found the suspect, Chris DiSalvo, 30, sitting in the stolen car on the 4600 block of Palm Drive in La Mesa. When he saw law enforcement, the department says he took off, crashing into a tree and running into a nearby apartment complex.DiSalvo was later found hiding in a stairwell and was arrested, the department says.According to authorities, DiSalvo admitted to taking drugs. He was given a dose of Naloxone and taken to the hospital.Upon his release from the medical facility, the department says he will be booked on several felony charges, including carjacking. 1035
