It is yet unknown what time Thursday White House staff learned that Hope Hicks, a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, tested positive for COVID-19. However, there are reports she had symptoms Wednesday night and attempts were made to quarantine her from staff. Here is a look at Trump’s movements Thursday and people he may have come into contact with.President Trump attended a fundraiser at his golf club in Bedminster, it is not known exactly how many people attended. He and close aides left the White House Thursday afternoon without talking to the media. The president also participated in a roundtable event, coming into close contact with dozens of people, including campaign supporters. The president did not wear a mask Thursday at the events at his golf course or on the plane, according to the Washington Post.He was tested after he returned to the White House late Thursday night. He did not talk to the media when he returned to Washington.Thursday night the president spoke to Fox News host Sean Hannity by phone and tweeted statements about he and the First Lady's positive results. Hicks showed symptoms following a Trump campaign rally in Minnesota Wednesday night, according to CNN and other media. She had spent time that day with the president and other presidential advisors, then flew to the rally together on Air Force One. Multiple reports state Hicks was quarantined on the plane back to Washington, D.C. and deplaned by the rear steps. So far, close aides, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and the Vice President and Second Lady have all tested negative for the coronavirus. However, the president’s diagnosis is likely to raise questions about the rapid testing system at the White House, which is known to have a lower accuracy rate than more intrusive COVID-19 tests. The president is expected to conduct official and political events from the residence — including a call on Friday with senior citizens about the coronavirus. 1960

It's cringe-worthy and will take a chunk out of your wallet, getting a rock to the windshield is no fun. There are a few things you can do to ensure you have the best opportunity to get reimbursed.Mother of two, Joan Sutton was driving on I-8 at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, "I'm on the way to the Costco, I took the freeway instead of the back roads, because I was in a hurry to pick up my kids."Then, CLAP! A rock the size of a baseball smacks her windshield."I need to hide because I was scared!" Sutton said, reenacting how she crouched down and threw one hand in front of her face, fearing for her safety. The entire time she kept one hand steady on the wheel to keep her from crashing. That moment may cost her family 0. They have to completely replace her windshield, with the new large circular crack right in front of her driver's seat. She's thankful her 13 and 11-year-old weren't in the car with her."Glad I was alone, but every time I saw that crack I'm still scared," Sutton said. It's something California Highway Patrol sees all the time, even though there are laws and a small citation encouraging companies to secure their truck's loads. To try to get the company to pay for your repairs, take down the license plate number of the truck, note the date, time and location of the accident. Then report it to your local CHP office and insurance company.Depending on your insurance policy and how much damage there is, you may have to pay out of pocket. For now, Sutton says she has to keep driving, even though she's pretty shaken, "yeah because I have two kids, they're not you know big, and one of my sons has autism, yeah so I need to be brave."She and her husband, Frank, are filing a counter report with the CHP, after the fact to try and get reimbursed for the windshield they're getting fixed on Saturday.10News reached out to the trucking company Friday with no answer. 1949

It’s a transition of power on pause, with two differing views of how it will unfold.“Whatever happens in the future, who knows, which administration will be. I guess time will tell,” President Donald Trump said.“We are already beginning our transition,” said President-elect Joe Biden. “We're well underway."Yet, it is not happening in the way it normally operates. With nine weeks to go before Inauguration Day, the transition of power between the Trump administration to an incoming Biden administration is hitting some speed bumps.“The transition is really vital for the working of government,” said Todd Belt, a professor and director of the political management program at George Washington University. He said the transition period is about access to information, personnel and money. The Trump-appointed head of the Government Services Administration, Emily Murphy, is refusing to release more than million earmarked for a Biden transition.“She said she will not release it until the election is decided, leaving everybody wondering, ‘When does she think the election is going to be decided?’” Belt asked. That’s a problem in the interim because, he said, that kind of delay could leave the U.S. vulnerable, not just to a rampaging COVID-19 pandemic, but also to potential terrorist threats.“This is particularly important in the areas of national security where the time, the lame-duck period time, between administrations might make a very attractive target for our nation's enemies,” Belt said. There have been transition delays before, like in 2000, after the disputed Bush-Gore election went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. In this current instance, that’s not happening. Belt said that makes the situation this time unchartered territory.“If this gets dragged out beyond early December, it could really hamper a smooth transition,” he said.It is a time period that inches closer by the day. 1918

It's likely that a Sacramento sheriff's deputy who struck a protester with a patrol SUV Saturday night didn't realize he had hit someone, Sheriff Scott Jones said during a press conference Monday. The patrol SUV struck a woman as she and others gathered in the street to denounce the killing of Stephon Clark, then left the scene, according to video of the incident. The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department."I haven't spoken to the officer about the incident, I'm not even sure that his statement has been taken," Jones said, adding that there has been no change to the deputy's duties at this point during this investigation. "It's an unfortunate event that punctuated an otherwise fantastic evening." 788

It’s one of the latest challenges to hit the web—the “In My Feelings” challenge. The dance videos—started by @theshiggyshow—show people jumping out of a car and dancing alongside the moving vehicle to Drake’s song “In My Feelings.”Last week, the National Transportation Safety Board issued a warning against the latest trend, stating “distraction kills.”This recent video is going viral and shows just how dangerous the challenge can be.  The video, uploaded by Jaylen Norwood, shows Norwood doing the challenge just before being struck by a car.The NOW spoke with Norwood, who said it was a staged incident gone wrong. He said he was supposed to jump on the hood of his friend’s car and continue to dance; however, he says he slipped on oil, which caused him to fall, before he was hit. 799
