SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego may soon have more living spaces in commercial zones, due to ease of regulations approved by the San Diego City Council Tuesday.The amendments to the Live/Work Quarters rules allow for smaller living space in a place of business, add more business types that can include living areas, and authorize additional locations where Live/Work Quarters are allowed.The changes reduce the required minimum floor area from 750 square feet to 500 square feet, and eliminate the requirement for additional parking.RELATED: San Diego housing report focuses on region's needsTuesday’s amendments were part of Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s Housing SD reforms.“This is going to put underutilized commercial and industrial spaces to work in tackling San Diego’s housing crisis,” Mayor Faulconer said. “Lifting restrictions on housing will bring new life to old buildings and allow businesses owners to live where they work. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Rotating outages in San Diego are now over. Refrigerator and freezer doors should also be kept closed and all unnecessary lighting should be turned off, health and safety permitting.The company suggested customers also reduce their water use due to the need for electricity to pump and process water. For electric vehicle owners, charging should be delayed if possible until after the emergency shutoffs, SDG&E said.SDG&E offers more safety tips to keep in mind during an outage here.Friday marked the first time since 2011 that California has ordered rolling power outages.According to SDG&E, the Flex Alert until Monday night was issued earlier to warn people to conserve energy, but because there wasn't enough energy conserved the state decided to issue rolling outages.SDG&E added that San Diego County's backcountry and rural areas will not be affected in the foreseeable future because they are high fire risk areas. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego County has served Pacers Showgirls International with a cease and desist order in violation of health orders days after San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham was stabbed outside the strip club.The county's letter says the Midway District strip club was allowing "live entertainment," like exotic dancing, "in violation of the Order of the State Health Officer and County Order of the Health Officer and Emergency Regulations."Under the county's current tier for California's pandemic guidance, San Diego County restaurants are allowed to operate outdoor in-person dining and indoor in-person dining at 25% capacity, but live entertainment is not allowed.The county's letter says if the strip club doesn't suspend its entertainment, it can receive a misdemeanor citation and ,000 fine for each violation. The facility could be ordered to close as well.The order says the violations were reported after Pham was stabbed in the parking lot outside the strip club on Sunday night.San Diego Police said Pham was involved in an altercation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego is already known as "America's Finest City," but it's the region's craft beer heritage that fans say make it "America's Hoppiest City."San Diego's East Village will pay homage to the area's craft beer past, present, and future with the Museum of Beer (MoB), slated to be introduced in spring/summer 2020.MoB will highlight beer, beer history, and the brewing process through high-tech, immersive, and hands-on exhibits, according to the museum. Virtual reality-based exhibits will also walk guests through a brewhouse, beer festival, and bring them face-to-face with iconic, San Diego brewers.Guests will learn about how beer is made, styles of beer, and, of course, San Diego's place in craft beer history. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Residents in one San Diego neighborhood have grown increasingly worried over reports of large boulders being left in the streets - in some cases, on top of vehicles.Golden Hill residents have reported the boulders appearing at 19th and Broadway, 26th and Broadway, Date Street, and the Golden Pacific Complex.At times, some of the boulders have been covered with cardboard or blankets."It's way too easy, with the way they're positioned, for someone to jump in their car like they do every day and take off and end up running over a giant boulder," said Benn Bruff.Bruff says a 25-pound boulder was placed in the wheel well of his girlfriend's car. Luckily they spotted it before she drove away. San Diego Police tell 10News the issue is very concerning. They are looking for more information and any description of the person responsible. Police says the person could face vandalism charges or obstruction of a roadway. If a driver were to hit a boulder and get in a serious accident the charges could be more severe. 10News reporter Amanda Brandeis spoke with a resident who knows the damage the rocks can cause first hand on 10News at 6 p.m.Councilman Chris Ward's office issued a statement to 10News, saying they are in contact with San Diego Police Department regarding the issue:"We were made aware of this issue by constituents over the weekend and share the concern for the safety of residents and car owners being impacted by this.
