Accused bank robbers and deputies in Richland County, South Carolina engaged in a shootout following a car chase last Friday. According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the three male suspects entered a bank wearing masks and carrying guns and demanded money. As the suspects fled, a vehicle description was given to deputies who attempted to pull the vehicle over. One of the suspects drove the car into a dead end where they got out of the vehicle and shot at deputies. One of the deputies, Captain Chris Duke, shot one of the suspects in the lower body.The suspects then got into a second vehicle and fled. That chase came to and end with a collision, and all three suspects were arrested. Deputies arrested Devanta Boyd, Devin Mincey and Daniel Williams. They will be charged with two counts of attempted murder and bank robbery, the Richland County Sheriff's Department said.None of the deputies involved were injured. 949

A strong earthquake has struck the west coast of Indonesia Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.The USGS said the 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck just after 8 a.m. ET. It said the epicenter was in the Sunda Strait, 65 miles from the city of Tugu Hilir in the province of Banten, on the island of Java.The shaking was felt in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta, 240 miles from the epicenter, prompting people to run out of their homes. The earthquake lasted around 40 seconds.The Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency issued a small tsunami warning for four areas following the earthquake.The agency lifted the alert just after 10 a.m. ET after there was no change in the sea water level.The quake also caused some blackouts, plunging some of the affected areas into darkness.The Indonesian National Board for Disaster said it was working with local authorities to evacuate people living on the coastline. A woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder after the body of her 9-year-old daughter was found in a duffel bag earlier this month, authorities said.Taquesta Graham, 28, is expected to be charged with murder on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. She is the second suspect, the agency said, after her daughter, Trinity Love Jones was found dead inside a black duffel bag on March 5.Graham's arraignment will follow the filing on Wednesday, the sheriff's department said.Last week, Graham had been extradited from Texas to Los Angeles, as investigators prepared a criminal case against her.
