SAN ONOFRE (CNS) - A man drove a stolen van onto the grounds of the now- idled San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station and claimed to have explosives in the vehicle, drawing a response from the San Diego County sheriff's bomb squad, which determined that there was no danger, authorities said Wednesday.The driver, 27-year-old Erik Jon Norman, was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicle theft, San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Pamela Wotkyns said.Sheriff's deputies went to the nuclear station a little after 4:20 p.m. Tuesday after security officers reported that Norman drove a white delivery van past the entrance gate and into a restricted parking lot, Wotkyns said. The security guards quickly detained Norman, but he told them the van contained electronic equipment and "possible explosives."The sheriff's department's bomb/arson unit was called to the scene but determined the van contained no explosives, only standard shipping parcels, Wotkyns said. Deputies later discovered the van was reported stolen earlier in the day from Oceanside and arrested Norman, taking him to the Vista Detention Center where he remained in custody Wednesday in lieu of ,000 bail. 1178

(KGTV) — Palomar Community College President Dr. Joi Lin Blake will resign this summer, after facing criticism over a recent budget report warning of the district's fiscal instability.This week the district's Governing Board approved the agreement for Blake to resign, which will take effect June 30. Blake was placed on leave following the Fiscal Crisis Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) report.Palomar Vice President Jack Kahn will serve at Acting Superintendent and President. He had big, red, open sores throughout his scalp. It was really itchy." As a salesperson, Ostby is what the company calls a Market Partner.  "I have over 100 people in my downline -- customers and Market Partners. I reached up to my W-2 said five figures in those eight months in additional income. So realizing what was happening was a hard pill to swallow."Her decision to stop selling Monat didn't come easily."I was crying to my husband," she recalls. "I was vacuuming every day because I was losing so much hair. And I think I was in denial. I didn't want to believe it was the product."All three women say their Market Partners told them that it was a problem with them and they needed top go to their doctor."I had a full panel done, blood work, everything," Fox said."And there was nothing that pointed to a reason -- besides product use -- of why I lost my hair," Ostby said.They and consumers who complained online were told it was normal and part of a detox process documented in the company's own sales literature.  "We no longer do that. SAN MARCOS (CNS) - Palomar College will break ground today on a new on-site food pantry that will help meet the massive demand of students facing food insecurity.The future Anita and Stan Maag Food and Nutrition Center will offer a modern, bigger home for the college's food pantry, which has been in operation for over three decades. SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - Some local stores are having a hard time keeping up with the demand from senior shoppers who are showing up for the special early morning hours amid concerns over COVID-19. Over the phone, a Costco employee in Santee told 10News that more than 1,500 seniors showed up on Tuesday and the store hasn't been that busy since Christmas or Thanksgiving.
