An Amazon driver was seen dropping packages into the sewer in a Baltimore neighborhood. According to Baltimore County Police, officers were called to the neighborhood around 6:44 p.m. Sunday after a neighbor called 911 to say an Amazon driver was dropping packages into the sewer.Police say the driver is from a temp agency and wanted to get off work. He dumped the packages out of anger and the temp agency will be on the hook for the damages. Police are waiting for the officer to finish the report to see how many packages were damaged. They will then determine if an arrest needs to be made.An Amazon spokesperson released a statement on the incident:We have high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care. The father of New England Patriots running back James White was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in South Florida, hours before his team's appearance on NBC's "Sunday Night Football."Broward Sheriff's Office Sgt. Donald Prichard said Miami-Dade police Capt. Tyrone White was killed in a two-vehicle crash about 1 p.m. along Griffin Road in Cooper City. Lending a helping hand is what Stephen Peth loves to do. Peth spends a lot of his time in the rehabilitation unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, helping wounded warriors get back on their feet. "The job is basically to do whatever we can to help the therapist," Peth explains. At 72 years old, Peth couldn't imagine any other way to spend his time. “I could be out on a golf course doing something for me, but to be here and be working for these wonderful service people that are here for a variety of reasons, to me, that’s inspirational,” he says. Peth says he’s inspired by all the patients he sees, because, he too, was once a warrior wounded in combat. "This is the boot that I was wearing the day that I got shot," he says. In 1967, 11 months into his tour during the Vietnam War, Peth, an army rescue helicopter pilot, was attacked by gunfire. "We took 39 hits on the aircraft,” he recalls. “I took a round through my boot and took a round though my arm." That dangerous mission earned him one of the highest awards of valor. "Gen. Craton Abrams came out and pinned a Silver Star on me," he says.His award and scars serve as reminders that he was once where these war heroes are now, compelling him find a way to serve his country once more. 1305

Three Metro-North Railroad workers have been suspended for turning a storage room under Manhattan's Grand Central Terminal into an unauthorized “man cave” with a television, a refrigerator, a microwave, a futon couch and more.A Metropolitan Transportation Authority Inspector General investigation found that Metro-North managers were unaware of the hideaway in a storage room located behind a locked door, beneath Track 114.Railroad officials said Thursday that a wireman, a carpenter foreman and an electrical foreman have been suspended without pay pending disciplinary hearings.Inside the room, investigators found personal property and evidence that implicated the three employees. This included a receipt with the wireman's name on it, a streaming device connected to a hotspot associated with the carpenter foreman's phone, personal calendars, and a pull-up bar with a shipping sticker reading the name of the electrical foreman.The Office of the MTA Inspector General launched the investigation after learning of complaints about the room from anonymous tips, the MTA said.Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi released the following statement Thursday: The behavior described in the IG’s report is outrageously inappropriate and is not consistent with Metro-North’s values and the commitment that we have to providing safe, reliable and cost-efficient service to our customers.
