McDonald's is sweetening up its breakfast menu by adding three new items.The fast-food chain announced Wednesday that beginning Oct. 28, consumers will be able to order blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, and apple fritters from its menu.McDonald's said the new items would be available all day.For the first time in eight years, the sweet treats are the first addition of bakery items to the chain's core menu, joining cookies and pies."McDonald's has been famous for our savory breakfast menu for almost fifty years," said Linda VanGosen, Vice President, Brand and Menu Strategy, McDonald's USA in the news release. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says the dozens of protesters seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state who showed up outside her home on Saturday "crossed a line" and added that they are seeking "to undermine and silence the will and voices of every voter" in her state.On Saturday, dozens of demonstrators gathered outside of Benson's home and went live on Facebook with many yelling "stop the steal" and urging her to come outside.Benson said she and her 4-year-old son were finishing up Christmas decorating and about to watch a movie when the protests started."Your neighbors will not get no sleep — you need to come out now!" one of the protesters yelled.Lt. Mike Shaw from Michigan State Police said he believes some of the protesters were openly carrying guns.The state of Michigan certified its election results on Nov. 23. However, President Donald Trump's legal team continues to dispute the results on the basis of widespread voter fraud. The actions of these latest protestors are an extension of the noise and clouded efforts to spread false information about the security and accuracy of our elections that we’ve all endured in the month since the polls closed on November 3. Through blatantly false press releases, purely political legislative hearings, bogus legal claims and so called 'affidavits' that fail to allege any clear or cogent evidence of wrongdoing, those unhappy with the results of this election have perpetuated an unprecedented, dangerous, egregious campaign to erode the public’s confidence in the results of one of the most secure, accessible and transparent elections in our state’s history.The demands made outside my home were unambiguous, loud and threatening. MARGATE, Fla. — A South Florida woman just couldn't wait to have her baby.Susan Anderson and her husband, Joseph, had almost made it inside Natural BirthWorks in Margate last Friday when baby Julia decided to meet the world early.Doorbell video shared by owner Gelena Hinkley showed the moment of birth.Video shows the mother crouching over in the parking lot while midwife Sandy Lobaina stands behind her.Anderson screamed just as two police officers, who happened to be in the area at the time, walked up to her."She's OK," Lobaina said. "I'm the midwife. She's here to have the baby."Anderson let out a big scream and Lobaina caught the baby as the officers watched in disbelief.After Julia's birth, Anderson was helped into the medical center by the child's father and Lobaina.In the video Hinkley ran into the frame just moments after the birth — but not fast enough."Un-freaking-believable," Hinkley said, seemingly disappointed she missed the party."What was going through my mind was, 'Get in the tub. Get in the tub.' Because I just wanted that relief," Anderson said.Lobaina said she has some crazy births before, but this was a first."Babies sometimes come really quick…and you just got to be quick, put your gloves on and just go," Lobaina said.Although Hinkley missed all the action, she's seen the video and has a good sense of humor."It was the best handoff ever," she said.
