"Flap Your Jacks" is bringing its own take on the traditional breakfast dish to North Park later this summer. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Birch Aquarium has opened a new exhibit showcasing one of the sea's most beautiful creatures in one of the world's largest habitats for the animal.The aquarium's new permanent exhibition "Seadragons and Seahorses" featuring Weedy and Leafy seadragons and several species of seahorses and pipefish.At the center of the exhibit will sit one of the world's largest seadragon habitats in the world, measuring 18 feet wide, 9 feet tall and containing 5,375 gallons of water, according to the aquarium.The exhibit takes guests into the lives of seadragons and seahorses, showcasing the sea life in a habitat designed to create the ideal environment for them to breed. Guests will learn how to observe the animals like scientists, catch distinguishing features, and identify courting and mating behaviors.The exhibit also gives visitors a peek into the Birch Aquariums Husbandry Team working to ensure the species thrives. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — At least one person was injured and another person was trapped following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 on Wednesday.San Diego Police said three vehicles were involved in a collision on southbound I-5 at SR-905 just before 4:30 p.m.An officer received minor injuries in the crash, according to SDPD. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – County leaders are continuing to urge San Diegans that 2020 is not the year to skip the flu shot as we head into colder months amid a nearly year-long pandemic.On Wednesday, the fourth of six flu vaccine clinics was held by San Diego County’s Health and Human Services in Logan Heights. All hands were on deck with nurses from across the county, as more people are heading to the free clinics to get their flu shot this season."This is a year to be vigilant of protecting yourself from influenza and getting a vaccine, so we don't run into a situation where people are not only getting COVID, but getting influenza, and clogging our medical response system," said Thomas Zurek, public health nurse manager with the county.Zurek said while we can't control the spread of COVID-19 with a vaccine, we can when it comes to the spread of influenza, which hits hard during cold months when more people are indoors.Zurek added he hopes the free clinics will help keep people out of hospitals this season so staff can focus patients affected by COVID-19."Our numbers have been above what we're normally than seeing this time of year, which is great," Zurek said.The county will hold two more vaccine clinics Thursday and next Tuesday:Thursday, Oct. 29, at East Public Health Center, 367 N.
