SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A recent poll shows how residents of the 50th Congressional District are feeling a week after Darrell Issa entered the race. According to the poll, Democrat Ammar Campa-Najjar is leading the race, followed by Republican Carl DeMaio and Republican Darrell Issa. Meanwhile, the poll is also an indication of how district residents feel about a number of issues, including impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. To get the data, SurveyUSA interviewed 770 voting-age individuals in California’s 50th Congressional District between September 27 and October 2. Of the voting-age individuals surveyed, 671 are registered to vote in the state. 592 of those registered voters were likely to vote in the 2020 California Primary, SurveyUSA says. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego commuter is saving big by getting on a bike, but not breaking much of a sweat.It was 6 a.m. on a Tuesday morning, when 10News caught up with Jon Taddeo as he prepared to bike to work.  This ride would be powered by a little something extra, in the form of an electric motor. Taddeo bought an electric bike in October."I feel like a fast biker," said Taddeo.Pedaling more will cause the motor to kick in when he needs it.  For Taddeo, it's a big difference compared to riding a pedal bike."17 miles per hour up a hill.  Before it was four or five miles per hour, huffing and puffing," said Taddeo.That means arriving at work less tired and sweaty.  Long popular in Europe and Asia, e-biking has surged in popularity in the U.S. in the past few years.Taddeo's commute from Carmel Valley to Miramar College took about 30 minutes, only a few minutes slower than his average drive."I feel good.  Blood flowing, refreshed and ready to work," said Taddeo.He also feels pretty good about his savings.  Before, he spent about 0 a month on gas for his commute.  That's now down to pennies, basically the cost of charging the motor battery."It'll definitely go a long way. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A marijuana delivery driver was robbed at gun point and shot in North Park late Friday.According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims, the 21-year-old victim was making a delivery in the 2000 block of Haller Street at about 9:01 p.m. when a gunmen approached his vehicle and demanded marijuana.Related: Million dollar Fed?cartel seizureThe driver grabbed the suspect's gun and as they wrestled for the weapon the driver was shot twice in the right hand. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local business owner is warning others about a phony debt restructuring company that he said cost him thousands of dollars.Hugh Herrera owns Pacific Beach Vinyl."What we're selling is music, which is one of the uplifting things of life," Herrera said.A couple years ago, Herrera needed help managing his debt with the business. After a situation with a lender, he eventually turned to what he thought was a legitimate debt restructuring company. He received a solicitation in the mail and gave the company a call."It sounded like something viable to me," Herrera said.He started working with Corporate Restructure, Inc. He said he paid about 0 a week."In the end, the net result, we'd pay about half of whatever we owed through making weekly payments to this firm," Herrera said.  Instead, Herrera said Corporate Restructure took about ,000 and ran."They just disappeared. Couldn't get a hold of them," Herrera said.According to news releases from the Department of Justice in New York, the men behind Corporate restructure faced dozens of charges related to bank and mail fraud. The news release dated late last year said there were approximately 200 victims that lost a total of .2 million."Somebody should really look out for predatory-type people, obviously, because that's what happened to us," Herrera said.He is now working to pay off his existing debt after he learned an expensive lesson."Things are looking better. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local Naval officer is making a plea for tips after thieves made off with some priceless military heirlooms.On Tuesday, Gervy Alota's wife called him after she returned to their home on Linbrook Drive."Just completely ransacked my house...my heart sunk," said Alota.Since there were no clear signs of entry, Alota believes the thieves got in through the doggie door in the back of the home.Among the missing items were several dozen collectible Jordan sneakers and about 15 pieces of jewelry, including Alota's class ring from the Naval Academy.  He calls it a symbol of the start of his 20-year Navy career.  A class ring belonging to his wife - also a graduate - was also stolen. 720
