China supports the UN to play a leading role in safeguarding international and regional peace, boosting global development and improving global governance, said Geng. China will continue to actively participate in the UN's work on politics, security, development, human rights and disarmament, promote democracy and rule of law in international relations, and work with UN member states to build a new type of international relations featuring win-win cooperation and build a community of shared future for mankind, he said. Before attending the general debate, Wang will pay official visits to Costa Rica and Panama from Sept. 14 to 17, according to Geng.
