SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- At least one person died in a Bay Park crash as rain soaked the roads in San Diego County Sunday morning. According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate 5 just before Clairemont Drive. CHP reports that the vehicle was traveling at high speeds just before the crash. At least three vehicles were involved in the crash. According to CHP, the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the center divide before being struck by two other vehicles. The driver of the truck was standing outside his vehicle when he was hit and killed by one of the vehicles. The driver was 48-year-old Joseph Vito Berardino, according to the medical examiner. At this time, it’s unclear how many more people may have been injured. 794

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California has some of the most expensive gas in the entire country, and a new study by GasBuddy also claims the Golden State also has some of the most aggressive drivers.According to the study, California ranks number one with most aggressive drivers followed by Connecticut and Georgia.The study claims those aggressive habits are also costing Californians cold hard cash. GasBuddy says aggressive driving habits costs an additional 7 per year in fuel.The habits include hard braking, speeding and rapid acceleration.Further finding indicate that the more heavily populated the city, the more motorists drive aggressively.Check out the chart below:  687

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Average rainfall and warmer temperatures, that’s what the San Diego office of the National Weather Service is forecasting this winter.With a few windows of opportunity for significant precipitation from December to March, it will be a warm and dry winter with more Santa Ana winds expected, according to City News Service.The National Weather Service predicts that San Diego’s best chance for rain in the near future will be in mid-November.The maps below show what the rest of November is expected to bring as far as rain and temperatures: RELATED: Check today's forecastRecently, winters in Southern California have trended toward fewer rainy days with heavier precipitation.“If we don’t get that rain in mid-November, then we’re talking about severe fire weather conditions again like last year going into December,” National Weather Service meteorologist Alex Tardy said.10News meteorologist Megan Perry said El Nino conditions are starting to develop. “El Nino is favored (70 to 75% chance) to form and continue through the winter. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- At least four people were stabbed in a brawl that erupted following a car show in Kearny Mesa early Thursday morning.San Diego police said the incident happened at a Chevron gas station in the 7700 block of Copley Park Place just after 12 a.m.According to police, about 50 people appeared at the gas station following a car show at a nearby park. During the gathering, a fight broke out, and a male pulled out a handgun and fired several gunshots.At the same time, another male used a knife to slash the tires of several vehicles and then tried to stab another male.When officers arrived at the gas station, those involved in the reported incident fled the area. Police discovered shell casings and blood at the scene.A short time later, police learned two people with stab wounds arrived at a Kaiser Permanente facility on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. Both victims were then transferred to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.Police learned two more people with stab wounds showed up at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.According to police, the victims were between age 16-21. The victims described the suspect as a Hispanic male.No arrests have been made. 1190

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Choir members in San Diego have made it their mission to use music to bring comfort to people nearing the end of their lives.Threshold Choir's director, Nadean Burington, started the local chapter in 2011.  It is an a cappella choir that sings for and with those at the thresholds of life.  They sing at the bedside at San Diego hospices, institutions, and private homes.Recently, doctors diagnosed Burington with stage four cancer. She has recently started requesting the choir's services.“It's wonderful. It's a gift back to me now for what I've given to help start it,” Burington said. “I feel well at this point but I want to the music continue for as long as possible.”Burington says the next directors have been picked out.
