CLEVELAND — Twenty-seven men from Northeast Ohio have been arrested after they allegedly expressed interest in engaging in sexual activity with undercover officers those men believed to be minors during an operation led by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force called “Operation Moving Target,” according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Mike O’Malley.Initial charges were filed against the individuals include attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, importuning, and possessing criminal tools. The arrested individuals include:Adam Davis, 41, PainesvilleRajwant Singh, 44, Mayfield HeightsGermaine Truett, 38, ClevelandJason Johnson, 37, ClevelandRonel Washington, 24, Garfield HeightsHector Pietri, 29, ClevelandKyle Vansteenburg, 28, ClevelandRaphael Robinson, 26, ClevelandCorey Huber, 32, ElyriaMichael Labondano, 30, LyndhurstNicholas Cook, 38, Bedford HeightsChazz Johnson-Hawks, 22, SolonIan Rensel, 43, BedfordJerry Harris, 35, WestlakeCarson Strnisa, 21, Seven HillsJustin Cowger, 22, ClevelandKim Koran, 61, ClevelandNathan Troup, 39, New Castle, PA (Registered Sex Offender in the State of Pennsylvania)Abed Aldur, 45, ParmaArturo Martinez, 47, University HeightsPhillip Jones, 30, StreetsboroKeith Kozak, 41, BrooklynPedro Correa Jr., 42, ClevelandRyan Dempsey, 37, AshtabulaJohnathan Smith, 34, ClevelandRobert Spisak, 45, Broadview HeightsJason Schmucker, 37, CantonThe four-day operation started on Aug. 24 and ended on Aug. 27. The arrested individuals, ranging in age from 21 to 61 years old, allegedly engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with undercover officers posing as children on popular social media applications, according to a news release. The county prosecutor alleges that the men expressed interest in engaging in sexual activity with the purported children and/or disseminated images of their genitals during these online conversations. After the conversations, the individuals traveled to a pre-arranged location, which was a vacant house in Cuyahoga County, to engage in sexual activity, with the undercover agents posing as children. All were arrested and taken to the Cuyahoga County Jail. Several of those arrested were in possession of firearms, condoms, lubricant, sex toys and drugs. Each case will be presented to a Cuyahoga County grand jury.“As we have seen the number of Cybertips dramatically increase this year, it is clear that online predators remain a serious threat to our children,” said O’Malley in a release. “Hopefully the success of yet another operation serves as a stern warning to offenders that you will be found, you will be arrested, and you will be prosecuted."This article was written by Kaylyn Hlavaty for WEWS. 2762

Cooking shows are popular and can be addicting to watch. However, one self-proclaimed diet guru believes shows like the "The Great American Baking Show" should come with a warning that it advocates obesity.Do cooking shows really have an effect on how much watchers end up consuming? Eight in 10 adults watch cooking shows, according to research by MarketingCharts.com.    Many of those cooking shows don’t necessarily promote healthy eating. But Dr. Kevin Masters, a professor of psychology at University of Colorado Denver, says you can’t correlate obesity to cooking shows.“The overweight and obesity issue in this country is around--depending on your numbers-- is 60 to 70 percent of the population,” says Masters. “And you’re talking about a very small population even watch these shows, much less we could say are influenced by them.”   However, Marketing Charts research also found that 57 percent of those who watch these cooking shows purchase food as a direct result of something they saw on the show.   "Some people will plant a thought that they weren't having before,” Dr. Masters explains. “Will it actually lead to action in a particular instance? That's going to depend on a whole lot of other factors."  Dr. Masters says you might have people make or buy fatty, sugary food after watching a cooking show, but that doesn't mean these shows are the direct cause of people in America being overweight.   "I think what's more likely is the audience attracted to those shows--maybe an audience that's more attracted to that kind of eating anyway--and finds something in the show that's of interest to them."   1689

CNN anchors Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto were covering the suspicious packages sent to the Clintons and the Obamas when the fire alarm sounded inside their New York City studio. There was another package -- and it was inside the building where they were broadcasting.Over the loudspeaker, CNN staffers were told to evacuate the building. Right over Harlow's shoulder, viewers could see staffers grabbing their coats and walking out to the lobby."There's a fire alarm here," Harlow said. "We'll be right back," Sciutto said, tossing to a commercial break.Police officers were already arriving outside. The suspicious device was delivered to the mailroom of CNN's parent company, WarnerMedia, around 9:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, according to a WarnerMedia executive. It "appeared to be a pipe bomb," the executive said. It was addressed to John Brennan, the former CIA director, who is a commentator on NBC and MSNBC.The fire alarm was audible on TV at 10:09 a.m. The entire WarnerMedia operation in New York was evacuated, from CNN's offices and studios on the lower floors to the corporate suites upstairs.CNN had to scramble to keep the 10 a.m. newscast on the air. When the anchors heard the fire alarm, they asked a question to a remote guest, Tom Fuentes, which gave them a moment to size up the situation. Then they tossed to commercial and evacuated. The newscast is usually produced out of a control room in Atlanta, which is why there was no interruption in programming. In the control room, executive producer Michelle Moryc lined up correspondent Rene Marsh, who was standing by for a live shot in the DC bureau, to substitute anchor. In her wall of monitors, Moryc also saw reporter Shimon Prokupecz in front of another camera in the Washington bureau. He had just been on the air covering the other suspicious packages. He was now gathering information about the situation at Time Warner Center. So when the newscast came back from commercial, Marsh explained the evacuation in New York and tossed to Prokupecz for more information. 2064

C-SPAN has suspended its political editor Steve Scully indefinitely after he admitted to lying about having his Twitter account hacked. A week ago, when Scully was questioned about a message he had sent to former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci seeking advice, Scully claimed that someone had gotten into his account and sent it. But he admitted this week to his bosses that he had lied, feeling the pressure of attacks from President Donald Trump. Scully was supposed to moderate the second debate between Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, which had been scheduled for Thursday but was canceled. C-SPAN said it hoped to bring Scully back after some distance from the episode.President Trump seized on Thursday's news. 721
