SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Singer Alicia Keys and her husband, rapper and music producer Swizz Beatz, are behind the purchase of a a -million mansion on the cliffs of La Jolla, according to the Wall Street Journal.The paper, citing sources familiar with the deal, say Keys and Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, bought the 10,600-square-foot home that is said to have inspired Tony Stark's Malibu home in the "Iron Man" film franchise. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Starting Friday, city leaders are accepting the public's input on the future of the Sports Arena area.Members of the public can leave their feedback in a virtual open house (here) through Monday, July 20, where they can also look at plans proposed for the Midway District site.Right now, strip malls, the Sports Arena, and parking lots fill the 48-acre city-owned land. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Symphony's new bayside concert venue is set to open just as San Diego's summer begins.Once completed in July 2020, Bayside Performance Park will be the first and only permanent waterfront venue on the west coast, according to the symphony's latest post online. The recent post also offered a more detailed look at the performance park's layout along San Diego Bay.The venue, which started construction in September 2019, will replace the current facilities in Embarcadero Marina Park South with a new, 13,000-square-foot covered stage, six levels of terraced seating with 13 sections across, a promenade, flexible seating between 2,000 to 10,000 guests, new public restrooms, and other park enhancements.RELATED:San Diego Symphony to start bayside venue construction next monthSan Diego Symphony's new bayside venue clears last hurdle before buildThe stage itself will be covered in a sea shell-like structure with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment.
