President Donald Trump described Oprah Winfrey as "very insecure" and accused her of "biased and slanted" after an interview on CBS's "60 Minutes" that addressed his presidency.Oprah hosted a group discussion with 14 voters who had appeared on the show in fall 2017 -- half who had voted for Trump and half who had not.The discussion looked at whether the the pro-Trump panelists still backed the President, his alleged "s***hole countries" comments, the worldview of the US under his leadership, questions around Trump's stability and fitness for office, and accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior.""Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!" Trump tweeted after the show was broadcast. Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. President Donald Trump observed the 16th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in ceremonies Monday at the Pentagon, promising that the United States will "prevail" and that the memory of those lost will "never, ever die.""On that day, not only did the world change but we all changed," Trump said at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial."Our eyes were opened to the depths of the evil we face but in that hour of darkness we also came together with renewed purpose. Our differences never looked so small. Our common bonds never felt so strong," he added. 581

POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) - A state inspection found 12 flaws in Poway's drinking water delivery system less than three months before the city's precautionary boil water advisory.City officials remain adamant that the issues raised by the inspection had nothing to do with the nearly week-long advisory that ended Dec. 6. The September 2019 inspection, from the State Water Resources Control Board, raised a series of issues - some administrative. It says some of Poway's distribution system reservoirs haven't been cleaned or inspected in more than five years; that the city's coagulant feed pump meter isn't working, and that the city needs to update its water quality alarm systems for chlorine and clarity. RELATED: Poway businesses affected by boil water advisory get help from San Diego County"The following is a summary of our findings and a discussion of deficiencies observed during the inspection, which must be addressed to better protect public health and improve system reliability," says the inspection, dated Sept. 19. The city issued the precautionary boil advisory on Nov. 30 after a Thanksgiving rain storm. A storm drain overflowed and backed up into its water treatment facility's clearwell reservoir due to Thanksgiving rains. Residents began reporting brownish water. The city temporarily fixed the problem, but state officials have said they anticipate issuing fines. RELATED: Mayor: Water Crisis critics are politically motivatedPoway officials expressed shock at that revelation, citing the September report. The city has declined to release the report, but 10News obtained it from the state via a Public Records Act request. The city declined a request for an interview, but a spokeswoman said it has met the deadlines the inspection gave to address the issues it raised. 1802

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Federal officers deployed tear gas and fired less-lethal rounds into a crowd of protesters in Oregon late Thursday. Video shows many protesters leaving the area near the federal courthouse in Portland as smoke filled the air. The actions came just hours after the head of the Department of Homeland Security called the protesters “violent anarchists.” Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf says state and city authorities are to blame for not putting an end to the protests.Protests have taken place for nearly two months since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. President Donald Trump recently deployed federal agents to “quell” the demonstrations in Portland that began after George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police, shining an unwelcome spotlight as the city struggles to find a way forward. The national attention comes as divisions deepen among elected officials about the legitimacy of the more violent protests — striking at the heart of Portland’s identity as an ultraliberal haven where protest is seen as a badge of honor.Local officials say they didn't ask for help from federal law enforcement and want them to leave. 1189

POWAY, Calif., (KGTV) — Six days after the City of Poway issued a Boil Water Order, some restaurants are reopening, after getting special permits from the Health Department. On her first day back to work, a server at Mainstream Bar & Grill got the surprise of a lifetime when she received a ,000 tip from a regular customer. It's been a while since hungry customers walked into the Mainstream Bar & Grill. Six days after receiving Poway's food facility closure notice, Mainstream is one of a few restaurants that are reopened. Mandated by the Health Department, they now have a modified eight-item menu with ingredients not prepared on-site, a boiled water hand-washing station, and disposable cups and utensils. RELATED: Poway could face fines as water boil advisory continues"We submitted a payroll today," restaurant manager Brian Harvey said. "Employees, we want them to get back to work as quickly as possible. Especially this time of year."It's a time when a lack of cash could be the difference between holiday cheer and holiday drear. "You do really want to budget," server Sarah Klein said. "You really want to figure out what you want to do for the holiday or how you are going to spend your money, so that was scary."Klein, a six-year veteran server, was out of a job for five days. But Thursday morning, she was back on her feet. She greeted and served her regulars without a hitch. She even chatted with one of them about how the water outage was affecting her family. RELATED: Poway school district sends parents action plan after water boil advisory issuedNext thing she knew, she was given what he called a "donation.""He came back with an envelope and 00 cash was inside for me!" Klein said. At first, she did not want to accept it. But she said the donor insisted that she take it. "Poway is like a family. And they come together in times of need, and it's definitely one of those times," Harvey said. RELATED: Poway small business owners worry as boil water advisory continuesKlein says she has no idea how she will spend the money but hopes to pay it forward somehow. "Gosh, I don't know. You know, just spend it on my son's birthday, it's this month. And the holidays. So now there is so much more we can do. So I'm just really proud to be in Poway," Klein said.Klein said the donor is also a Poway resident, going through the same water crisis, which is why this gift is even more precious. The City of Poway said they are working to restore the water by Friday. 2505
