He was the only entrepreneur to create three different Fortune 500 companies during his career -- Blockbuster video, Waste Management and AutoNation.At one time, Huizenga, 80, had owned three sports teams where he lived in South Florida -- the Florida Marlins, the Florida Panthers and the Miami Dolphins. BEIJING — The U.S. says it has ordered China to close its consulate in Houston “to protect American intellectual property" and the private information of Americans. However the U.S. State Department did not elaborate on what prompted the closure. China is strongly condemning the move, which comes at a time of rising tensions between the world’s two largest economies. His mother, Debbie Rucker, took to Facebook Monday with a plea: Take COVID-19 seriously, wear a mask and exercise social distancing.Feeney is battling the virus as questions remain on whether the college football season will be played this fall. The Big Ten announced it plans on playing a conference-only schedule this fall. With her son's permission, Rucker shared his story:My son was negative when he got tested at the beginning of volunteer workouts. Within three weeks he and multiple others tested positive. His university has done everything right by shutting down workouts and retesting the whole team.Unfortunately this virus hit my son very hard compared to most of his teammates. Here was a kid in perfect health, great physical condition and due to the virus ended up going to the ER because of breathing issues.After 14 days of hell battling the horrible virus, his school did additional testing on all those that were positive. Brad Bufanda, an actor best known for his roles in TV shows including "Veronica Mars" and "Co-Ed Confidential," has died after apparently taking his own life.Bufanda apparently jumped from a building in Los Angeles on Wednesday and died of "traumatic injuries," according to Variety.On Friday, TMZ reported that the 34-year-old actor left a suicide note that thanked some of the people in his life and mentioned his parents.Bufanda's manager told Variety she was "completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being." BUFFALO, N.Y. — Social workers could soon work alongside police officers in the Buffalo Police Department. Captain Jeff Rinaldo with the Buffalo Police Department said Monday that officers in Buffalo have been undergoing crisis intervention training for several years. He said officers are learning techniques to help handle situations with people in crisis, including mental health, substance abuse and homelessness. Buffalo police are working on an "initiative to embed licensed clinical social workers" who would work alongside police and help respond to crisis calls, according to paperwork submitted to the Buffalo Common Council. "The goal now is to create a specialized unit called the Behavioral Health Team within the police department," Rinaldo said. Endeavor Health Services is the company named in the proposed contract. A recently-awarded grant allowed the company to hire three trained clinicians to work with Buffalo police and handle crisis calls, Rinaldo said.The contract requires approval by the Common Council and is expected to be discussed at a meeting on Tuesday.The department's new plan was released as protesters across the country call for significant changes in policing. Some proposed plans involve defunding local police departments and, instead, sending social workers to deal with certain crisis calls.
