KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Imagine getting a COVID-19 test from the comfort of your own home.That's what Costco is offering by selling saliva test kits online.They come at a steep price. The basic test kit is listed for 9.99, while a kit with video observation is 9.99.The KSHB I-team reached out to Costco for more information about the products. However, the company's corporate communications team was unwilling to respond to any questions, adding that it is not staffed to do so."As always our focus is to have merchandise available for our members at low warehouse prices," a spokesman wrote in an email.According to the Costco website, the kits are administered by Azova, which is a telemedicine platform.A fact sheet for patients found on the Azova website shows the test used is the P23 Labs TaqPath SARS CoV-2 Assay.The test has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. However, like many tests, it has received emergency use authorization from the agency.That means the makers of the test need to continually submit data to the FDA, which will evaluate the information and study the accuracy of diagnoses.Azova claims 98% of positive tests and 99% of negative test results are accurate."Saliva testing can be very accurate. It is probably chosen (for at-home testing) because the chance of having user error is much less than say a nasal swab," Dr. Dana Hawkinson of the University of Kansas Health System said.A customer who purchases a kit from Costco must complete a health assessment online with Azova and register for a lab order and test kit.The actual kit should come the next day, but results won't arrive for one to three days after the lab receives the sample.The kit with video observation, however, promises results in 24-48 hours."If that's the only thing that you're using for diagnosis and you have symptoms, you need to be isolated in your home until those results come back," Hawkinson added.In his opinion, it's not the most efficient way to get tested once the shipping time and wait for results are factored into the equation.However, Hawkinson believes we may see more options like this in the future."The technology is out there. He had seen wildfires before, he said. "But the fact that it was coming down in 1,000 places, it was unheard of," McKay told CNN in an interview Sunday in a park in Chico, a city southwest of Paradise.He saw flames approach the school in both directions.His son, mom and girlfriend had already evacuated to a hotel in Chico that morning. Kindrea Brown, 24 was found shot to death in her own bed.Janet Brown says she heard gunfire late Friday night but went to bed shortly thereafter. She had no idea that her youngest daughter, who was asleep in her bed, had been shot."I heard gunshots. That's all I heard. We checked and laid back down." said Brown.Brown went to her daughter's room Saturday morning to wake her up for work. "I get her up every morning and mess with her before she goes to work. I went back to wake her up and she didn't wake up. I couldn't get her up. She didn't respond to me anymore." said Brown.No other information has been released. One former employee told CNN that Spacey sexually assaulted him.The former production assistant, whose account has never previously been disclosed, told CNN that Spacey sexually assaulted him during one of the show's early seasons. "It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors."The other people who worked on "House of Cards" with whom CNN spoke all supported the idea that the set could be toxic for young men because of Spacey.A crew member who worked on the show for all six seasons said that Spacey routinely harassed and touched him."He would put his hands on me in weird ways," the crew member said. "He would come in and massage my shoulders from behind or put his hands around me or touch my stomach sometimes in weird ways that in normal everyday conversation would not be appropriate."This crew member said he did not "feel comfortable" telling Spacey to stop. "That's the worst part about this whole thing. I would love to be able to speak out about this kind of stuff and not fear."CNN spoke to a close friend of the crew member, who says that the crew member had told him about Spacey's behavior over the course of the six seasons of the show that it happened.When asked on Thursday about the new allegations, Netflix said in a statement to CNN that they sent a representative to the "House of Cards" set on Monday."Netflix was just made aware of one incident, five years ago, that we were informed was resolved swiftly," the statement said.
