NATIONAL CITY (CNS) - Authorities are offering a ,000 reward for information that could help solve the murder of an 18-year-old man killed in National City three years ago Thursday. Juan Carlos Munoz Jr. was fatally shot on Oct. 11, 2015 after a gunman walked up to his vehicle, asked Munoz Jr. and his friend where they were from and fired five shots from a handgun into the vehicle. The attack, which killed Munoz Jr. and injured the 17-year-old passenger in the car, occurred around 7:50 p.m. near 16th Street and Prospect Avenue in National City.The shooter has been described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, with a heavy build and a shaved head. He was last seen driving east on 16th Street in a four-door Nissan Altima.The ,000 reward will go to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case. The Marine Veteran is 5'6'' tall, about 170 lbs, and has a skin-colored old scar on his forehead. Lachica's family says he suffers from PTSD. Family and fellow former Marines searched for Lachica in the Mission Trails area Saturday, hoping to locate him there. However, they did not find him. MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) - Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire crews responded Friday to a wildfire threatening utility infrastructure in Moreno Valley. The first firefighters to reach the scene along Gilman Springs Road reported four spot fires approximately one mile apart and one acre each, Cal Fire tweeted. Within an hour, the so-called Jerry Fire spread to 500 acres with a rapid rate of spread and no containment.Multiple structures were threatened, said officials. Aerial video from the scene showed at least one structure engulfed in flames. Approximately 15 homes on Gilman Springs Road between Highway 60 and Jack Rabbit Trail were evacuated.There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
