SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- As Santa Ana winds move out of the region, a freeze warning was issued for portions of San Diego County.The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for the county's valleys and deserts from midnight through 10 a.m. Friday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California Highway Patrol is investigating after a man was shot while driving on Interstate 8 Saturday night. According to CHP, the shooting happened on I-8 near Waring Road around 8:30 p.m. CHP says an unknown vehicle began firing rounds at the victim. According to CHP, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and has yet to be located. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - As election season heats up, some political passions are fueling criminal acts."Speechless and devastated," said Elise Dearborn.Dearborn, who isn't shy about her support of Bernie Sanders, parked her car in front of her home in Encinitas a few weeks ago. In this morning, she walked out to a surreal scene.Five stickers — most of them backing Sanders and purchased at local 2016 rallies — were gone. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California roads have some of the worst drivers in the entire country, according to a new ranking.Finance website SmartAsset reports that California ties with Missouri to take third on the list for states with the worst drivers.In order to rank states, the site looked at the percentage of drivers with insurance, the number of DUIs per driver, the average number of deaths per miles driven and how often residents Google terms like traffic ticket or speeding ticket.California ranked 12th for DUIs per thousand drivers and 11th for percentage of uninsured drivers. The Golden State also ranked 32nd for number of people killed per 100 million miles driven.It may give some comfort to know that California wasn’t ranked first.
