BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- President Xi Jinping has promised that China is looking to serve the long-term interests of all countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Xi said China is, and has always been, committed to maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea. China will firmly stand by its sovereignty, rights and interests in the South China Sea, and remain committed to resolving disputes peacefully through friendly consultation and negotiation with countries directly concerned.
