Teachers at Lenox Elementary School in the Baldwin School District filmed a parody of the Men Without Hats song and altered the lyrics to focus on coronavirus and social distancing. An underemployed worker is defined as someone whose skill set is not being used at their job. Experts say what often happens is veterans will start receiving letters or emails saying a job has been filled. So veterans will likely turn to other positions where they can get hired but may not use their skills. “We believe that employers have kind of unintentionally created programs that have really created the path of least resistance for the veteran community, so it’s pipelined them into particular industries or certain roles, which has sort of limited the aperture of what's available and what's possible,” says Sara Roberts, the head of military and veteran programs at LinkedIn. Experts at LinkedIn say it's important for veterans to research the industry when they begin to look at civilian jobs to understand the type of jobs that are out there. And to network, especially with other veteran groups. “What veterans can do is be thoughtful and intentional about diversifying their network with industry leaders, as they plan for what's next, and the different types of opportunities that they're excited about, especially as they make their transition,” Robert says. The Cleveland Indians are moving forward in the process to examine and possibly change the team name and will be meeting with Native American leaders to help determine the best path forward.Indians owner Paul Dolan announced Thursday that as part of the organization's continuous efforts to discuss the team name, there have been productive meetings earlier this week with manager Terry Francona and numerous players to discuss the name, as well as social justice and racial equality issues.To continue examining the best path forward, the organization said it will be engaging with Native American leaders to “better understand their perspectives,” in regards to the team name.The organization will also hold discussions with civic leaders and said it will continue to listen to the opinions and perspectives of players, fans, partners and employees.“We feel a real sense of urgency to discuss these perspectives with key stakeholders while also taking the time needed to ensure those conversations are inclusive and meaningful,” Dolan said. “We will continue to share periodic updates as we make progress. RICHMOND, Va. -- A 5.1 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Virginia and North Carolina Sunday morning.There have been no immediate reports of damage, nor injuries.The earthquake was recorded at 8:07 a.m. and was centered near the state line in Sparta, North Carolina, about 300 miles southwest of Richmond.Sunday's earthquake is one of the biggest to impact Virginia since the 5.8-magnitude earthquake centered in Mineral, Virginia on August 23, 2011. And the largest earthquake in North Carolina since a 5.2 earthquake in 1916."According to the U.S. Geological Survey database, the 5.1 magnitude earthquake near Sparta this morning is the second strongest earthquake to occur in North Carolina 1900," the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg Office wrote on Twitter.
