Walmart has announced that customers won't have to leave home to return their online purchases.On Monday, the company announced they are partnering up with FedEx for a new return service that would allow items to be returned to be picked up from your home.To use Carrier Pickup by FedEx, customers would select which item(s) they are returning on Walmart's website or app, then schedule a date for pickup, and print a label.If you don't have a printer, Walmart said you'd drop it off at FedEx using a QR code off Walmart's website or app and drop the package off at a FedEx location.The "incredibly convenient" return option is free and would stay well beyond the holiday season, Linne Fulcher, Vice President, Customer Strategy, Science and Journeys said.The retail giant also announced a few changes to holiday returns, including finding purchases in-store through your debit or credit card. If you lose your receipt, start your return online to make in-store returns quick and easy and open alternate locations within the store.Walmart added that refunds would be credited sometimes as soon as the next day for online returns and same-day for in-store returns. 1171

"We made major headway toward hammering out a targeted pandemic relief package that would be able to pass both chambers with bipartisan majorities."The Senate majority leader said money is needed not only for the American people suffering from the economic fallout caused by the pandemic, but to help re-up the Payment Protection Program and for vaccine distribution.“Congressional leaders on both sides are going to keep working until we get it done,” McConnell said.The Washington Post and Politico report the package would amount to nearly 0 billion in relief and may include a new round of stimulus checks, though the dollar amount for the possible direct payments isn’t yet known.The package would reportedly exclude aid for state and local governments, as well as leave out liability protections. WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A man has been arrested and charged after police say he threw his wife into the Provo River in Utah on Sunday.According to an arrest report, 61-year-old Douglas Harold Green and his wife were at the Provo River Resort, located just downriver from Deer Creek State Park in Wasatch County, when they began arguing over dinner arrangements.Police say Green became angry and threatened to drown her in the river. He then dragged her to the bank of the Provo River and forced her in, the probable cause statement says.Witnesses said they tried to help her, but Green yelled at them to stay away.Police said the woman had a bruise on each arm, which she said were from Green dragging her. It was not made clear if she sustained further injuries, how long she was in the river or how she got out.Green was arrested and held without bail after a judge in the Heber District Court ruled that releasing him "would constitute a substantial danger to an alleged victim of domestic violence."He has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a third-degree felony, and assault, a class-B misdemeanor.This story was originally published by Spencer Burt at KSTU. 1176

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a man they say was acting suspicious outside an Islamic center in Vista in late March. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the man was seen taking pictures on the Tri-City Islamic Center on March 30. When someone at the center saw the man taking pictures, they invited him inside. When the man saw there were people inside the center, he took off running, deputies say. RELATED: Security tight at San Diego area mosques after arsonIt’s unknown why the man was taking photos, but the department says they are interested in speaking with him. Witnesses describe the man as Hispanic in his late 20s, about five feet, seven inches tall with a lean or muscular build, short, dark hair and a blonde beard. He was last seen wearing a red hat, dark gray sports coat and blue jeans. Anyone who sees something suspicious is asked to call the department at 858-565-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. The incident happened shortly after a fire was set at an Escondido Mosque on March 24. The fire, which caused minimal damage the building, was extinguished by members of the mosque.
