There were no noted dissents. The justices set up an expedited briefing schedule to hear arguments from both sides on whether the court should agree to hear Trump's appeal this term. The NBA Players Association has agreed to a plan to resume play, with a 22-team tournament acting as the league’s postseason. When the season would resume isn't exactly clear. The NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver are expected to formalize the agreement next week, the league said. Silver previously said that it plans on utilizing ESPN’S Wide World of Sports facility in Orlando, Florida. The MLS is also expected to utilize the facility starting next month for a six-week tournament featuring the entire league. "The Board of Player Representatives of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) has approved further negotiations with the NBA on a 22-team return to play scenario to restart the 2019-20 NBA season. Various details remain to be negotiated and the acceptance of the scenario would still require that all parties reach agreement on all issues relevant to resuming play," the NBPA said in a statement. As America’s pro basketball and soccer leagues have hammered out plans on returning to play, MLB and its union are still in negotiations on how to play out the 2020 season. The league and players are far apart on deciding both the length of the season, and revenue sharing. It is unclear if there even will be a 2020 MLB season based on the disagreement. 1287

The clicket-clacks of dancing tap shoes have been a part of Gene GeBauer’s life for more than seven decades. These days, he uses a cane for assistance — something he says is sad, “but gee, I’m 85!”Despite the stick by his side, he still gets just as much joy as he did when he first set foot on the dance floor when he was 12 years old.“I danced so much that I just kept getting better and better and better,” GeBauer says from one of several studios in suburban Denver, Colorado, he teaches at.In fact, he was so good that he soon made his way to New York, landing parts in six of the biggest Broadway shows of the 60s and 70s.“I wanted to shout to everybody and say ‘I’m in a Broadway show!’” he says smiling. “I didn’t, but that’s how happy I was.”He danced alongside Carol Burnett in ‘Once Upon a Mattress,’ Julie Andrews in ‘Camelot,’ and Carol Channing in his favorite gig of all: ‘Hello, Dolly.’“’Hello, Dolly’ became, you know, a huge hit!” he says glowing. “That was the highlight of my life. That doesn’t really happen.”After having left New York to start a family, he eventually settled in Colorado where he’s still teaching tap. He says he’s slowing down, but his class schedule says otherwise.“I teach — ” he pauses to think. “Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday — five days a week.”And even though he will occasionally instruct from his chair — "I’m weak and get a little foggy sometimes” — seeing his students’ faces when they move is almost just as good. “That is a pleasure, to see them. They smile when they’re dancing, they’re happy.”“That is rewarding,” he says, smiling. 1619

The Ohio State University had its application to trademark "The" tentatively denied by the U.S. Trademark Office on Wednesday. "The applied-for mark appears to be used in a merely decorative manner that would be perceived by consumers as having little or no particular source-identifying significance," the Trademark Office concluded. The Trademark Office will allow Ohio State to alter its application to have the trademark request reconsidered. The application submitted in August was to allow OSU to trademark the use of "The" on clothing using standard characters, without claim to any particular font style, size, or color. 640
