The league informed teams on Saturday that training camps will open on time even though discussions with the players’ union regarding testing for the coronavirus and other health and safety protocols are ongoing. (AP) — President Donald Trump’s campaign has requested a recount of votes in the Georgia presidential race, a day after state officials certified results showing Democrat Joe Biden won the state. Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger certified the state’s election results on Friday. Those results showed Biden beat Trump by 12,670 votes out of about 5 million cast. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp then certified the state’s slate of 16 presidential electors. The Trump campaign sent a hand-delivered letter on Saturday to the secretary of state’s office requesting the recount after an election fraught with unfounded accusations of fraud by Trump and his supporters. 683

(AP) — Airbnb will prohibit one-night rentals over Halloween weekend as part of its ongoing effort to crack down on party houses. The action comes nearly a year after a deadly shooting at an Airbnb in Orinda, Calif. Five people were killed in the shooting, which happened during an unauthorized Halloween party. Airbnb says it will ban one-night rentals of entire homes in the U.S. and Canada on Oct. 30 or Oct. 31. Previously booked rentals will be canceled and Airbnb will offer refunds. You could say Sindy Bregman and Allison Young are modern day golden girls. "Strong leads" are being pursued to catch two men believed to be responsible for multiple fatal shootings across the Nashville area, police said. At this point, Metro Nashville Police said they are connecting three, different shootings with four victims – three of whom have died. The police department tweeted Monday morning that Chief Steve Anderson met with detectives in the case and said strong leads are being pursued. The first incident happened back on Aug. 8 in the Inglewood area when a 39-year-old woman was shot while walking her dog just before 1 a.m. She survived but police have confirmed the shooting left her paralyzed.Less than a week later, investigators said 31-year-old Kendall Rice was walking to work when he was robbed and fatally shot on Alta Loma Road in Madison. Kendall RiceThe third shooting linked to the spree happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday in East Nashville outside of The Cobra Nashville, a local bar.  Four people were heading to get a snack at a convenience store when they were robbed.
