A fraternity headed to trial Monday for the hazing death of a pledge in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.Attorneys gave their opening statements in Monroe County in the trial of Pi Delta Psi fraternity. It's the actual Greek organization on trial for third-degree murder, not the members themselves.The Pi Delta Psi organization is on trial for the hazing death of Chun "Michael" Deng.The 18-year-old student at Baruch College in New York was killed during a hazing ritual at a home that members of the fraternity had rented in Coolbaugh Township back in 2013.Authorities charged 37 members of the fraternity in the incident.Four pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and are expected to be sentenced next month.In court Monday, the prosecution recounted what happened to Chun "Michael" Deng back in December of 2013. A judge ruled Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump must testify in a New York investigation into the family’s businesses before the November election. State Judge Arthur Engoron said Trump must comply with a subpoena for his testimony no later than Oct. 7. Eric Trump's lawyers had claimed his “extreme travel schedule” on the campaign trail warranted a delay. The judge said the investigation and the court are not “bound by the timelines of the national election.” Democratic State Attorney General Letitia James is investigating whether the Trump Organization lied about the value of its assets in order to get loans or tax benefits.“We will immediately move to ensure that Donald Trump and the Trump Organization comply with the court’s order and submit financial records related to our investigation," James said. "Further, Eric Trump will no longer be able to delay his interview and will be sitting down with investigators in my office no later than October 7. A group of Greyhound passengers were not pleased after their bus left three and a half hours late and then took an unexpected detour on Thursday morning.Passengers said their bus was supposed to leave at 2:30 a.m., but it didn't actually pull away from the bus station until 6 a.m. To make matters worse, once the bus got into Pennsylvania, passengers said it turned around because the driver said there were problems with the bus.But wait, there's more.The bus reportedly missed Cleveland and went all the way to Toledo before the driver realized the error. Toledo is roughly two hours west of Cleveland. Now riders are looking for alternative ways to get to their destinations. One booked a flight and another caught a new bus.Passengers said Greyhound has not been cooperative through this ordeal and hasn't offered them refunds. 860

A glitch to the IRS' e-file portion of its website prompted the IRS to push back the deadline to file taxes from today (April 17) to tomorrow (April 18). The IRS said that both individuals and businesses can take advantage of the extra filing day without penalty. “This is the busiest tax day of the year, and the IRS apologizes for the inconvenience this system issue caused for taxpayers,” said Acting IRS Commissioner David Kautter. “The IRS appreciates everyone’s patience during this period. The extra time will help taxpayers affected by this situation.”The IRS said that during the system outage, taxpayers were able to file their tax returns electronically through their software providers and Free File.Taxpayers using paper to file and pay their taxes at the deadline were not affected by the system issue, the IRS said. The glitch shuttered part of the IRS' website, not allowing some who file taxes online to complete their taxes. A Florida man accused of groping a passenger on Southwest Airlines told an FBI agent after his arrest that the "President of the United States says it's OK to grab women by their private parts," according to a criminal complaint.Bruce Michael Alexander, 49, a Tampa resident, was in federal custody after being charged federally on Sunday with abusive sexual contact on a female passenger during a flight from Houston to Albuquerque, New Mexico, the complaint said.It's unclear if Alexander has an attorney.The charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a 0,000 fine.The woman was identified in court documents as "C.W."
