A brawl broke out during a sentencing Wednesday afternoon of a former daycare owner accused of reckless homicide in the death of a 7-week-old baby in her care.37-year-old Claudette Mitchell was being sentenced for charges related to the death of a 2-month-old child that died while in Mitchell's care last August at "WHO'S LUVIN YOU" daycare. Mitchell ran the daycare out of her home on Milwaukee's northside. A criminal complaint says Mitchell told police she put the baby down for a nap and when she checked on her about an hour later she was unresponsive and had scratches and blood on her face. Court documents show the baby suffered multiple fractures to her skull and bruising all over her body. Forensic investigators believe the baby died of blunt force trauma to the head.  Mitchell received a sentence of 42 months, and upon release, 48 months of supervision. Following the sentencing, an altercation broke out between 50 members of Mitchell's and the victim's families and friends according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.Additional deputies and district attorney investigators were called to the room to restore order. Authorities say additional security had been in place prior to the altercation but Mitchell's loved ones did not comply with deputies’ orders to remain in the courtroom while the victim’s family was being escorted out. 1407

A farm in Indiana is recalling more than 200 million eggs sold in nine states over salmonella fears.Rose Acre Farms voluntarily recalled 206,749,248 eggs due to potential contamination with Salmonella Braenderup, the Food and Drug Administration said in a statement.At least 22 illnesses have been reported so far, the FDA said Friday.The eggs were sold through retail stores and restaurants. They reached consumers in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia."Consumers with these eggs shouldn't eat them," FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb tweeted. "Throw them away or return them to place of purchase for credit or refund."Brands affected include Country Daybreak, Coburn Farms, Crystal Farms, Sunshine Farms and Glenview, with some eggs sold at Walmart and Food Lion stores.Salmonella causes serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. A black bear was spotted wandering through backyards in Brecksville, Ohio on Tuesday night, and it seems to be a little hungry.Officers said the bear bent a fence to get into a beehive within the fenced area.Police said the bear was sighted in the 9000 block of Highland Road, east of I-77 and south of State Route 82. This area has deep wooded lots, according to officials.The animal warden was out checking the area with officers and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will be contacted in the morning, according to police. 564
