SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Registrar of Voters is asking those who received mail ballots to check their mail ballot packets, according to County News Center. Registrar of Voters Michael Vu said his office has received more than a dozen reports of missing mail ballots in the election packets for the June 5 Gubernatorial Primary. According to the registrar, as many as 1,500 ballots could be affected. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about drinking and driving ahead of the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend.The department says it will be conducting increased DUI patrols on Saturday, July 4 and over the course of the weekend.The department also plans to hold an impaired driving checkpoint in North County Friday night.Last year, deputies arrested more than 1,300 people for impaired driving. So far in 2020, 387 drivers have been arrested for driving under the influence, the department says. "No one should ever drive under the influence," said Sheriff Bill Gore.
