BONITA, Calif. (KGTV) - A pursuit that ended at a South Bay apartment complex Thursday led to the arrest of a suspect inside a home.Robert Perez, 26, was seen leaving the scene of a domestic violence incident at a Lemon Grove apartment complex at 10:30 a.m., San Diego County Sheriff's deputies said.Deputies tried to pull over Perez as he drove away but he refused to stop, said officials. Perez began driving more than 100 miles an hour on freeways including SR-94 and SR-54, according to deputies.Perez parked his car in a carport at 2920 Briarwood Road and ran to an apartment on Plaza Mercia in Bonita. Deputies said Perez initially kept the resident of the apartment from leaving, but the person eventually ran outside.Perez was taken into custody inside the apartment. No one was hurt.Deputies did not release details about the domestic violence incident. 875

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Division of Public Health (IDHW) has received reports of two health care workers experiencing severe allergic reactions after receiving the Pfizer and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. A news release says the reactions happened in north Idaho and in the Treasure Valley. IDHW says an investigation on ongoing in both reactions, but one person has fully recovered and the other is hospitalized in stable condition, but is expected to be discharged today. Both people had a known history of severe reactions after receiving injectable medication. “The CDC considers a history of severe allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis to any vaccine or to any injectable therapy as a precaution, but not contraindication, to vaccination,” said Dr. Christine Hahn, medical director for the Division of Public Health. “In light of these events, we are concerned about the risk to people with such a history and recommend that anyone with a history of severe reaction or anaphylaxis to any vaccine or injectable therapy defer taking this vaccine until more is known.”Federal, state and local public health agencies are monitoring reports of allergic reactions to the vaccine. The Department of Health and Welfare is reviewing data from the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System and state reporting systems. These systems are where providers who vaccinate and people who receive the vaccine can report any reaction they think is related. “We will continue to update vaccine providers and the public as soon as we know more,” said Dr. Hahn. “In the meantime, people without a history of severe reaction or anaphylaxis to a vaccine or injectable therapy are still recommended and encouraged to get the vaccine when vaccine is made available to them.”Data from clinical trials of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine show there is very little risk to the majority of people who receive the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the release. Body camera footage released by Cleveland police shows the harrowing moments when officers came under a hail of gunfire while responding to a call in the Hough neighborhood.On April 14 police arrived on the scene around 10 p.m. for a report of shots fired into a house.A grandmother told officers she had been watching her grandchildren in the living room when she heard gunfire. The woman told police she took cover to avoid being hit by bullets. Residents told authorities a gray van had come through the area at a high rate of speed when the shots were fired.Later, while officers were interviewing witnesses, a similar gray van rolled through the area and opened fire in the direction of everyone standing outside, authorities said. 769

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Five people, including two elementary school students, were arrested after police investigated online threats made against another student. The Bloomington Police Department began investigating after a Fairview Elementary School representative notified police about a threatening Instagram video on Feb. 17. The video showed two students making threats and showing an AK-47-type weapon. One of the boys in the video made threats toward a female student and her brother. He said the gun was real and the two people were going to get "lit up," police say.In the investigation, police learned the threats were made after an argument about a dating relationship between the parties. Police then went to a house to locate the weapon in the video. At the house, a woman, Laquita S. Perry-Leverston, 33, went to the trunk of a car, where she retrieved the weapon and a pistol. Both were BB guns, police say. After a warrant was obtained, police began searching the house. One person in the house, a 17-year-old boy, told officers they weren't going to touch him, according to police. He began resisting and was arrested by officers. The 17-year-old was handcuffed and placed into a patrol vehicle, where he tried to kick out a window and threatened to kill an officer, police say.Two adults, Paris R. Leverston Sr., 37, and Laquita, became upset when the 17-year-old was arrested. According to Bloomington police, "Attempts were made to explain to her the reason why, but both adults continued to be loud and disruptive."
