Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will remain in his home state of Delaware on Wednesday while President Donald Trump continues full speed ahead with his busy rally schedule.Trump will court voters in two western swing states on Wednesday — Nevada and Arizona. The President will appear at a rally in Bullhead City, Arizona — a city located at the border of Nevada's southern tip — at 3 p.m. ET. He'll later head to the Phoenix area and hold a rally in Goodyear at 5:45 p.m. ET.Trump carried Arizona by a 48% to 44% margin in 2016, but recent polls show voters are leaning toward Biden this year.Nevada went for former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton in the last presidential election and broke for President Barack Obama in 2012. Biden is also favored to take the state in 2020.Biden remained in his home state of Delaware on Wednesday and received a briefing from public health experts regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. During remarks following the briefing, Biden urged all Americans to continue wearing masks, calling it "patriotic" and "not political." Biden also criticized the Trump administration's handling of the pandemic, hitting the President on everything from his health care plan to recent comments from administration officials."We've lost more than 220,000 lives of this virus already. But this administration has just given up," Biden said. "Over the weekend, the White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, went on television and admitted that they've waived the white flag and declared surrender. He said, quote, 'we're not going to control the pandemic.' The American people deserve so much better than this."Trump often hits on Biden for "hiding" from the media and avoiding large rallies. Biden has been less visible than the President and held fewer rallies, and has instead opted for more speeches and remarks designed for a national TV audience.With election day six days away, Americans have been voting early at a record pace. DETROIT, Mich. -- The Detroit Police Department is responding to a video that shows an officer fatally shooting a dog in its own yard.Officers say it happened Aug. 3 on the east side of the Michigan city.The video shows the dog in a yard latching onto a police K-9's snout and not letting go. The officer then drew her weapon and shot the dog, which died from its injuries."It's unfortunate that it came to this. We do not like to see any animal hurt, especially these K-9 officers. They are truly dog lovers and champions for K-9s. But at this point, her dog was being severely injured and had no choice," Commander Darin Szilagy said.Detroit police did internally investigate and cleared the officer of any wrongdoing.That K-9 officer continues to be evaluated and treated for injuries. DENVER – In a matter of days, Christopher Watts went from pleading in an interview with Scripps station KMGH for his wife and kids to come home, to wearing an orange jumpsuit and becoming one of Colorado's most notorious accused killers.Police arrested Watts late on the night of?Aug. 15 for allegedly killing his pregnant wife, Shanann Watts, and young daughters Celeste and Bella.Watts faces three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree murder – victim under 12 in a position of trust, one count of first-degree unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body, according to Colorado court records and documents.This isn't a story about why he did it; it is a story about a decision that could cost him his life.Five of the aforementioned counts make him eligible for the death penalty. Many Coloradans and people from around the world are already calling for Watts' execution and have even created a private Facebook group dedicated the topic.Ultimately, the decision on whether to seek the death penalty against Watts lies solely on the shoulders of one person: Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke.Rourke has 63 days to make the decision after Watts' arraignment, a hearing that has not yet even been scheduled. "I felt the death penalty is not justice. It's vengeance and vengeance doesn't belong in our courts."Becker's time on a death penalty jury came to an abrupt and emotional end after the judge let the defense present evidence sympathetic to the defendant. Evidence Becker believes should have come to light long before he was asked to potentially put a man to death. Evidence so strong, the prosecution ended up taking the death penalty off the table."It became very apparent to me that we are asking people to come to this conclusion and not providing them all of the information. DALLAS (AP) — Ten states have brought a lawsuit against Google, accusing the search giant of “anti-competitive conduct” in the online advertising industry including a deal to manipulate sales with rival Facebook. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says Google is using its “monopolistic power” to control the pricing on online advertisements, fixing the market in its favor and eliminating its competition. Google is calling the suit “meritless” and says the price of online advertising has fallen over the last decade. According to records released by Paxton's office, Texas is suing along with Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota and Utah. 698
