BEACH LAKE, Pa. – It may look like a regular house from the outside, but inside Meghan Buselli’s bustling home, one room looks just like a regular classroom.“I have Landon who's eight, Sawyer who's six and Levi who's five and then I have two little girls that I fit in there somehow,” said the mom of five, who has a college degree in elementary education. It’s a degree she initially thought she would use by going back to teach in the classroom. However, when the time came for her oldest child to go to school, she had second thoughts.“The age of five came super fast, quicker than I thought,” she said, “and I wasn't ready to let go of our time.”So, she decided to home-school her children instead. It’s a decision that – at the time – she had no idea would end up attracting attention from around the country.“I think parents thought that, you know, we need to think of different options for our children,” Buselli said. That is how, through social media, she ended up in the role of home-schooling helper to parents looking to do the same, in the wake of COVID-19.“They say, ‘Oh, well, I don't have a degree in that,’ and I say, ‘You know what? Think of your grandmother's favorite recipe that you use year after year. Did she go to culinary school? No.’” Buselli said. “So, I always say that you know and you're more qualified in this than you know and if I didn’t have my degree, I could still do it.”In the year prior to the pandemic, about 2.5 million students were home-schooled in the U.S.Buselli offers parents tips on how to do it, such as:Check your state home-schooling laws for the required paperworkUnderstand that not all teaching is done at a chalkboard or behind a desk – she’s learned it’s less about trying to mimic a classroom and more about being flexibleLess is more when it comes to lesson planning – focus more on concepts, not busy workShe said she knows her kids have learned a lesson, when they show confidence in applying what they learned“Another word for home-schooling, I think, is freedom,” she said. She also feels home-schooling is helping stretch out her children’s childhoods, while providing other life lessons, too.“It's just them seeing how we carry on a household, how we carry on life as adults, how we foster relationships with people,” she said, “and then we fit academics in around all of that, with family unity being the glue that sticks together through it all.”It’s a lesson her children seem to be absorbing, as well. 2475

BREAKING: Investigators have identified the remains as those of Hania Noeila Aguilar. More on this as it develops.ORIGINAL STORY: Investigators following leads in the disappearance of a 13-year-old North Carolina girl have found a body that is awaiting positive identification, the FBI said.Hania Noelia Aguilar was abducted outside her home in Lumberton on the morning of November 5, 2018, authorities said. The body was found Tuesday afternoon in Robeson County, the FBI said in a statement, just a few miles from Hania's home.Investigators notified the missing teen's family "out of an abundance of caution," but no confirmation has been made of the body's identity, the FBI said."Please continue to pray for Hania, her family, and each other as the investigation continues to find out who kidnapped Hania and hold them responsible," the FBI said.Police say someone drove away with Hania in a relative's SUV that was parked in the driveway Monday morning before school, prompting authorities to issue an Amber Alert for her.A witness saw a man dressed in black and wearing a yellow bandana force Hania into the vehicle. Authorities said they have no reason to think Hania knew her abductor and her family is cooperating with the investigation. The stolen SUV was found abandoned less than 10 miles from Hania's home at the Rosewood Mobile Home Park, authorities said.Lumberton police and the FBI asked residents with video surveillance systems to save video recordings, even if they don't see the vehicle in the footage, and contact them. Most recently, FBI Charlotte released a photo of sneakers that belonged to Aguilar, hoping to generate more tips about the teenager's disappearance. The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI have followed more than 800 leads, interviewed more than 400 people and reviewed hours of surveillance footage since the kidnapping, according to officials with the FBI in Charlotte.A reward for information that leads to her has risen to ,000, Lumberton police Chief Michael McNeill said Friday.The-CNN-Wire 2055

BELLEAIR, Fla. (AP/KGTV) — Haley Moore is a 22-year-old LPGA Tour rookie. The San Pasqual High School graduate made the winning putt in a playoff to clinch the 2018 NCAA championship for Arizona and qualified for the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur last year. She also has struggled with weight issues and self-esteem for much of her life. Bullies would call her fat, take her belongings, damage her personal property. Moore doesn’t hide from those moments or the pain they caused — or still cause. Instead, she talks about her story openly, sharing what she went through and how it didn’t stop her from achieving the goal of playing on the LPGA Tour."I think it was more of a motivation when I was bullied, at first it was very hard," Moore told ABC 10News in 2019. "I didn't want to play this game anymore. I was depressed."With support from her family — and golf family — Moore told ABC 10News she focused on her dream and past any negativity."Don't let them control your life, with me, just putting it aside and focusing on what my main goal was to get on the pro tour, really, helped me, motivated me from it," Moore said. That focus rewarded with the title of "pro golfer" now in front of her name."If you want to be a professional golfer, it takes a lot of hard work, and you just have to be patient out there, you're not always going to have the best days," Moore said. 1395
