SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The City of San Diego is planning on expand its designated scooter parking zones to Ocean Beach. The Mayor’s staff recently sent a list and map of 106 prospective locations to the Ocean Beach planning board. The scooter corrals are similar to the on-street parking the city has already installed downtown. The ‘Micro Mobility Parking Corrals’ - as the city calls them - are installed at red curb spaces that do not block traffic, fire hydrants or impede visibility. The Mayor’s office says it is working with community groups to find suitable locations in OB and they plan to have feedback by June 10th. 630

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Surveillance video and photographs were released Tuesday in the search for three men suspected of an armed robbery at a Mission Valley apartment complex. The men approached a man and woman in the parking structure of the Millennium Apartments at 5080 Camino Del Arroyo at 11:30 p.m. Mar. 20, San Diego Police said. Officers said the men spoke Spanish and told the victims, “Give me everything you have! Fast!” The men took luggage and a purse from the victims and were last seen running onto Camino del Rio North, according to investigators.Police believe the men may have driven away from the area in a white, early 2000’s Hyundai Sonata or Kia Optima eastbound on Camino del Rio North, then north on Camino del Arroyo. The first man was Hispanic, 26 to 32 years old, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, white shoes, and a black hat with white lettering. Police said the second man was Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old, with a stocky build. He had on a black t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes with white accents, and a black hat. The third man was Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, with an athletic build, black and silver Raiders track jacket, black pants, black shoes with white accents, and a black hat. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The final panel of a 14-mile stretch of the Primary Border Wall project was installed Friday, marking a turning point for U.S. Border Patrol, according to Border Patrol officials.Now there is more updated fencing in place compared to aging infrastructure. The stretch of new fencing replaced stamped steel, that's easy to climb, originally installed in the 1990's.The 18-30-foot steel bollard stretches a quarter of a mile from the ocean, to Otay Mountain. The old wall was breached more than 1,700 times, according to Border Patrol officials.RELATED: Funds earmarked for defense can be used for border wall, Supreme Court rules"Any upgrade we can get we'll take, this wall's been around for 30 years," Border Patrol Public Affairs Officer Theron Francisco said.The transparent feature of the new wall, vital for Border Patrol agents. Fiscal year to date, 149 incidents were reported, compared to 72 last year.Last April migrants hurled rocks at San Diego Border Patrol officers, shattering their Jeep's window. Neighbors called police after hearing what they thought were gun shots coming from his apartment. Officers seized a bayonetted rifle and two illegal high-capacity magazines from his apartment.A 38-year-old Allied Gardens man who threatened to kill himself, his wife, and their young child if she left him. His wife had overheard him distraught and crying in the bathroom, and cocking his .40 caliber pistol.A 28-year-old Mission Valley man who grabbed a gun case and threatened suicide. When his exgirlfriend tried to call for help, he grabbed her by her hair, threw her on the ground, and pushed her head into a wall. Police seized two handguns, two rifles, and a shotgun.A 33-year-old Mid-City man who locked his wife in a car with him, threatening her with a loaded firearm. When the San Diego Police Department arrived on the scene and searched the car, they found a meth pipe along with two loaded firearms that did not belong to him. He later surrendered a Glock 9mm and a .380 handgun.A 35-year-old Allied Gardens man with a small arsenal and a history of domestic violence, whose wife suffered a serious laceration to her forehead and feared he might kill her. The man owned a 9mm pistol, a mosquito semi-automatic pistol, a Ruger .22, a Springfield .40 caliber pistol, a Ruger rifle, a Mossberg shotgun, and an unmarked handgun.A 40-year-old La Jolla man who told his fiancé by text message that he wanted to shoot her in the head, then visited his fiancé’s ex-boyfriend and threatened to kill him while holding a knife behind his back. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The family of a 14-year-old girl is shocked by her sudden death that could be flu-related.Julianna Campos died Feb. 12, after complaining of a headache and cold-like symptoms.Imelda Leyva, Julianna’s grandmother, said Julianna went to take a nap and never woke up. Julianna didn't have any health issues, according to the family.Doctors confirmed Julianna tested positive for the flu, according to her grandmother. However, they are still investigating whether the flu was the cause of death.Julianna’s family plans to hold her funeral on March 9.
