(KGTV) — Los Angeles Police are investigating the death of a six-month-old fetus found in the bathroom of a Sherman Oaks grocery store.Police received the call at about 3 p.m. about an infant's body at a Ralphs grocery store in the 4400 block of Burbank Boulevard, according to ABC-affiliate Los Angeles station KABC.The fetus was discovered in a toilet by a witnessed who then called police, LAPD Sgt. Hector Guzman said during a press conference. Fire personnel arrived and determined it had died.Guzman said they have identified a woman they believed to be the mother and have interviewed her to figure out what happened, according to KABC.Ralphs issued a statement to KABC, saying the bathrooms are behind the scenes and don't impact the safety of customers, employees, and the public.By Wednesday evening, police determined no crime had been committed and no arrests were made, KABC reported. (KGTV) -- The new school year begins Monday morning for the Sweetwater Union High School District, and classes will be very different this time around for students and teachers due to the coronavirus pandemic.Starting Monday, Aug. 3, classes will be taught online, with all students equipped with district-issued computers, laptops or tablets to connect with teachers.SUHSD students will be on a daily block schedule that puts them in three classes per day with 30-45 minutes of virtual face time with teachers. Students’ remaining time will be independent study to complete coursework.District officials said the 2020-21 school year will begin with distance learning through at least Oct. 2. According to the district, the goal is to provide flexibility to begin the school year so adjustments can be made along the way.During the school year, the district plans to evaluate the possibility of a return to in-class instruction on three dates:-- Sept. 21: District will assess whether distance learning will continue after fall break.-- Nov. 30: District will assess whether distance learning will continue into second semester or potentially bring 10% of students back to schools.-- March 1: District will assess whether distance learning will continue through the end of the school year.If in-class instruction is allowed, all schools will have safety protocols in place that will be monitored. 1404

A 16-year-old Indiana high school football player confessed to fatally stabbing a pregnant schoolmate after she waited too long to tell him about the pregnancy to get an abortion, according to court papers.Aaron Trejo, a member of the Mishawaka High School football team, was charged Monday with murder and feticide in the death of Breana Rouhselang on Saturday. The 17-year-old junior and cheerleader at the school east of South Bend was six months pregnant, her mother told police, according to an affidavit. An autopsy confirmed the pregnancy.Trejo told authorities he was aware of Breana's pregnancy and that he was alleged to be the father, the affidavit said, but he said neither wanted to have the baby. He said the two fought about the child before he stabbed Breana in the heart with a knife on Saturday, according to the affidavit. He then put a black plastic bag over her, put her body in a dumpster, and threw her phone and the knife in a river, court papers said."I took action ...
